So what are you favorite games of all time in PC? I have a couple and would really like to play some of the ones you guys might reccommend.

    Mine are:
Halflife (including cs and other mods)
Halflife 2 (including mods and ep1)
    Diablo II
    Starcraft

I love others too, but time after time these are the ones i go back to after a stretch of no gaming.

I think you forgot about titles which in fact create the genre. Like first C&C(rts), first NFS(rts), Doom(fpp), X-Wing and Tie Fighter(space sim), Fallout(rpg) etc. The only game I would add from your choices is CS 1.6. Of course there were games before them and there were after but those titles are true milestones in pc gaming history.

The games I play most and never get bored of:

    Battlefield 2
Half Life + Day of Defeat Mod/Day of Defeat Source
    Soldier of Fortune 2 Multiplayer

There some other games I don't play much but that blew me away on release, like Quake 2, Battlefield 1942, etc.

I'd have to rate mine by time spent playing:
    1. Dark Age of Camelot
    2. Counter-Strike
    3. Battlefield 1942

I'm sure I'd love BF2, but I just haven't had the opportunity to buy/play it. As much as I love it, online gaming is pretty much dead for me. Have a 8 mnth old baby girl with another one due in January. Babies pwnz0r my gaming time. :)

Wow Nesbo, I remember Kings Quest :) Those were the days. I remember playing the entire Hero's Quest series off of low density floppies on an old Epson 80-86 that didn't even have a hard drive, just dual-floppies. Hero's Quest 2 was 9 disks! Lots of swapping :)

EDIT: I think these games were actually called Quest for Glory and the 1st one in the series was called Hero's Quest. They were produced by Sierra. I'm not sure if any of them would run on today's PC's unless they were modified, but they are great fun.. *extreamly* dated though. I played them when I was in 8th & 9th grade and I'm 30... so they are like 15-16 yrs old.

    No doubt in my mind

    1. C&C (The first one) greatest RTS ever. Set the standard in RTS genre
    2. EF2000 The greatest flight sim ever milestone in combat flightsims
    3. Quake the first real 3D FPS ever and therefor a milestone
    4. Unreal what a rush with huge areas and scary sounds another milestone
    5. Battlefield 1942 showed that great graphic and huge areas is doable in Multiplayer.
    6. Diablo how can I forget

For me that is Operation Flashpoint - since 2002 and still has upgraded graphics, AI and 3d enviroment. The best ever for me. Armed Assault (OFP 2) is coming this year I hope.

I played both on PC w/8086 processor and a Yellow monocrome monitor. Two 5"1/4 diskdrives!, no mouse.

Before that we had the ATARI 520ST, a great machine with no programs :D atleast not in DK :)
