I love the good old game Beyond Good & Evil. But, being old, it had its issues with dual core cpu's. Video would run super fast and become out of synch with audio. And the in-game camera would jump around and glitch, especially in hovercraft sections, which was very annoying.
Luckily, this has all been fixed with the Turbo Boost in the Core i cpu's. With my old Pentium Dual Core laptop I experienced all the horrible glitches mentioned above. But moving onto my new Core i5 laptop, the game plays perfectly.
It's interesting that Turbo Boost could fix these probems and makes me wonder how many other older games with dual core issues are fixed by Turbo Boost.

Maybe they need to include an option called "Turbo Slow"

Crap, I just picked this up, but I don't have one of those newer processors. Should I just not even bother installing it?

I installed BG&E couple of years ago on my laptop which had a core 2 duo processor and a 7400 go graphics card, and Vista 32bit.
I didn't have audio/video out of synic problem, but I did have tons of graphic glitches and performance issues, which ultimately made the game unplayable. -

i have this game which i recently bought on steam and have audio sync issues but can fix it to be almost perfect. i have no glitches whatsoever but the audio sync issue ruins it for me. i would say try it and find out how it works since you already bought it anyway.
