    My question is are they ever going to remake it/make a new WWII BF. They have made several modern warefare ones and also make another Vietnam one but where is an upto date WWII one?

    Battlefield 3 still hasn't been confirmed which setting it will be in.

    Theres been a lot of articles over the past few years that says WWII is way over done and game makers should avoid it.

    I still think BF: Vietnam was the best in the series.. until BC2 and BC2: Vietnam came out.

    There are lot of ww2 games out there. I don't think ea games wants to go back to ww2. We want new and fresh ideas, like black ops.... :p

    yea but there is no good multipluier WWII game that has decent graphics that's all i am saying. Maybe someone will make a 1942 mod for one of the new engines. I can hope ^^ It's been like 4 years since the last good one if not longer.

    I wish they would make a new 2142 game. I doubt they ever will, but that would be sweet.

    that is atleast modernish graphics. It uses BF2 engine that still looks good....look at 1942. The models dont even got fingers :p They got hand cut-outs lol

    The one nice thing about BF1942 is it runs great even on netbooks. When I ran around with an Eee for a while, it rekindled my interest in the game.

    Battlefield 1943 has been out on consoles for a while, and is supposedly going to be released on PC eventually. From what I've read, it's a remake of 1942 on the Frostbite engine.

    I don't think BF '43 will ever come out for PC. Much like the 128 players on BF2 you mentioned in the BF3 thread, they might have copped out on this when they said they would extend development after the backlash they got on 24 player limit and other gripes from the PC community.

    Yea it seems like they scrapped that idea, though. Between Battlefield Play4Free and Battlefield 3 I don't think they are working on 1943 for the PC anymore.
