    I have had a problem with battlefield. I played it fine for a while, then one day for no reason I would try to load a game and the game would completely exit. I had a hard time installing the game, so it would be preferable not to reinstall it. I updated it ( a long time ago) and it still did the same thing. Now i cant even update it because it does load the update that i downloaded...weird...help?

    Well I would recomend a reinstall of the game. It is just three discs. I am not sure you really have any other option.

    Well youre gonna have to update it anyways with patch 1.3 having just came out on Tuesday. Reinstall your game and download the full patch (pretty big at 438 Meg Patch) If youre still having problems then updates us.

    Dead bolt, what is your laptop + specs. After the new patches, minimum requirments went up a notch.

    there might also be some bacground processes that interfere with the game. when I play Halo, Sophos anti-virus update sometimes interefers with the gameplay.

    haha i already have less than the required specs...but it always let me played it at an acceptable framerate.
