My laptop can run the game fine and i can get 60 fps on ultra textures with everything else set to low. The problem is its alllllll over the place. Ive tried enabling v sync and that helps a little but its still pretty bad. Any ideas?

If your talking about the every 3 sec stutter that doesnt stop it is the server, and map, not your machine.

    Try another server.

Upgrading to Win8.1 fixed the stuttering for me.

First go to bios, turn off Hyperthreading.
Second to try is core unparking. I think I tried this software for it.

Those two things should help with fps drops and stuttering.

You could check to see if your having any issues with driver latency.

    DPC Latency Checker

Can you describe the stuttering in more detail?

Would not recommend doing this. I've found it does nothing but hurt performance in Battlefield games.

This might help assuming you've got parked CPU cores in the first place. I've personally found unparking to benefit AMD CPU's a lot more than Intel ones. YMMV.

Its smooth gameplay if u ignore the stutter. 60 to 40 fps but it skips making it hard to play. Hard to explain. The fps jumps alllllll over the place. Turning v sync on helps a little

That's the thing, would someone want only non-stuttering 100fps instead of 145fps with stutter...
I merely listed things that other users have reported working when they were searching for answers.

There is probably more to the core parking, and Win 8 upgrades fixes, as it doesn't seem it helps everyone. So must be a combination of things.

For example my cores park when load doesn't require it but I have tested/monitored during game and they are never
parked when playing. Only when sitting at spawn doing nothing. However, I get the occasional fps dips too even with no parked cores.

Glad this fixed the OP's setup.
