It frustrates me so much when playing rush attacker that I'm the only one smart enough to see the advantage of using smoke screen to confuse the enemy and advance to the mcom, while using the same smoke cover to arm the crate.

Usually in rush everyone is hunkered down because of dying as they try to advance to the target mcom. I'm the only one that is shooting of smoke and making cover at the same time advancing forward in my own cover and planting the explosives, but it's hard if I'm the only one shooting of smoke, since I have to reload.

I use the chat to inform my teammates about helping me to spam smoke yet they all refuse to help out, but they still use my cover of smoke to advance. It's foolish and frustrating, because they actually benefit from it, yet they don't help me make smoke.

I know many of you play BFBC2 and I'd like your feedback why it seems everyone is so foolish not to take advantage of the smoke perk, besides me.

Because nobody knows how to cooperate. Everyone has their own strategy and unless you're with a group of people you go into a game with, your chances of getting people on your team let alone squad to cooperate with your strategy is like 1%.

yeah, just this last map, I finally got someone to help me, but he was only spamming and not rushing when there was enough cover. The way I proved my point was when I was on defender I helped the attacking team by making smoke, so that probably opened ppls eyes knowing that you can advance more easily with smoke screen, but you also have to rush and plant when the oppurtunity presents itself.

Seriously though no cooperation, they just want to rack up kills.

I always use smoke. Usually go double grenades plus smoke. It does get frustrating so I completely understand.

I usually sit back and spam nades into the smoke while I'm back at a safe distance to pick people off to pad my 2.02 K/D

Some of you people get way too upset about things that really don't matter.

Smoke is good, but so are the 40mm grenade launcher and shotgun attachments. I rarely ever use smoke because I'm either blowing up buildings with the tube or using the shotgun for storming buildings and other tight spaces. The fact is, the smoke launcher is more situational than either of the other attachments, and naturally isn't used as frequently.

in rush mode especially attacker, smoke is so important to advancing, that I notice when I just enter a server and then join the attacking team they are stuck in a stale mate because they can't even get close to the mcoms to arm them. Then I come in with my smoke and notice I'm the only one that advances toward the mcom and I'm the only one arming the targets. It's as if I carry the whole team.

On rush as defender it's more important to use motion mines. But I can already see how you just don't understand the importance of using smoke in rush. Infact I'll bet you wouldn't even know how to escape your base in the event that your locked in because of the enemy raping your base and there's only one route out. You wouldn't even consider using a smoke screen.

I didn't say smoke isn't useful, it's just usually not as useful as the 40mm GL or shotgun. In my own words, I said it was situational. That means it is useful in certain situations. When I'm stuck in such a situation, I may switch to smoke if I feel like it'll help.
So now you attempt to criticize my playing style and knowledge of the game by making uneducated assumptions.

My team and I do just fine in games. If someone on the team wants to use smoke, good for them. Unless the situation is really desperate and it's obvious that my smoke will be the difference between winning and losing, I'm keeping busy doing Medic stuff or blowing holes in walls and tearing down buildings that enemies are camping in.

The past few weeks I have completely given up depending on teammates as an attacker. I have been rushing the MCOMS alone with the USAS, the lightweight "perk" (which makes you sprint faster and makes the mouse a little more sensitive), and the double clip size perk. I usually just run in and kill as many people as I can and try to cut as large of a swathe through enemies as I can. Tossing C4 also helps.
In all honesty, a lot of times it just takes one guy with balls to arm an mcom. Teamwork is useful for keeping it armed, but a lot of the time one guy can hold off the enemies from disarming if he knows what he is doing and has the right kit.

My bad, I just get so irritated when the team let's me carry them to a victory and all they had to do to help out besides cowering in a corner hoping not to get shot, is to rush the target while I make a smoke screen, or they make smoke and I'll rush, but as it is I have to do it all and save the world on my own.

the lightwight pack doesn't make you run a lot faster, its only 1.1x what normal is...

I find the scope+m249 is a good combo for this tactic... also, don't camp the mcom, run over to the other one and plant there too...
