    Hell yeah!
The game actually came free with X205, over a year ago, I started it and quit. Dusted it off a few months ago and beat it, one of my favorite games now. I just had to give it a chance. :D (Nice story, with a cool twist to it.)

I am not hopeful. After GTA IV's dud of a performance, I am getting nightmares of the same with Bioshock 2. (Both are Take2 games)

GTA4 was a pure console port, bioshock 2 will probably be made for pc and if not, it will at least be developed for pc at the same time. also GTA4 was developed by rockstar and bioshock by 2k games. they arent exactly the same developer.

This is the trend with pc gaming and that's why we have the video game consoles to remedy this problem of software leaving behind hardware.

I seriously doubt that consumers who bought their notebooks in the middle of this year (2008) and prior to that would be able to play at max graphical settings without taking a huge hit to the games framerates or having it stay at least above 24 fps.

I just got my Toshiba x305 with a 9700m gts and it is awesome with games that was released in 2007 and can max them out and sustain 30-60 fps. But with games that are released in quarter 4 of this year I can already see that it's starting to tax my system with graphics maxed out.

Newly released games like Fallout 3, GTA VI, Bioshock 2 are looking ahead at the new hardware that'll be released in 2009 so they'll add more polygons and special effects that'll tax current systems and make em struggle if you don't set it to medium or low.

Developers in my opinion need to just control themselves and stop pushing the graphical envelope and milk the graphics engines we have right now that are already optimized for the current generation of hardware. At least for the next 2 years, so us users don't get left behind and have to settle for watered down graphics.

They don't need to keep on adding more and more polygons or effects that'll bog down our computers, I think the graphics are already fantastic looking as it is.

I'm an absolute Bioshock fan. I finished it on my Xbox360 3 times (normal, hard and with the 'no vita chambers' add-on) and one time on my laptop. It's awesome, it's fantastic.

But.. I read the sequal will be made by a different company.. I'm a little scared the storytelling won't be as strong.. But hey - it might just work out :D

Well, I fear. Here's the scenario- it's either in Rapture, or it isn't. (and that doesn't ruin anything for the few we've got still playing through it ^_^) now... think about it... how could they work a number 2? Where are the "Extreme" moral choices I was promised from number 1? Don't get me wrong, I loved Bioshock- its one of my very favorite games... the idea for the trilogy, though? Ughhh.... It may not go so well...

Bioshock used The Unreal 3 engine, GTA IV uses R*'s own RAGE engine.

Unreal 3 was origionally developed with PC in mind, RAGE was obviously developed exclusively for the Xbox360 and PS3, I doubt they did much in terms of optimizations for the PC version seeing how badly it runs, and looks..
