    Bioshock 2 crashes ati display driver?

    So i just installed bioshock 2 and tried playing it. The intro movie went off fine, and right after the start of the intro movie when you see yourself trying to get up, the game would freeze and my screen would go black, i would get an error message on my taskbar saying ATI display driver stopped responding and has sucessfully recovered.

    its an HD mobility 3650

    Any ideas?


    Edit: Apparently it could be a dx 10 problem, i ran the game in dx 9 mode and no crash so far.

    What drivers are you using ? Did you try newer drivers ?

    Im using mobility modded drivers, verison 10.0 not 10.1.

    There are no 10.0 drivers, check again.

    Oh, i think its the 9.12 drivers then. Not too sure, but yeah its the release before 10.1

    Yeap 9.12 then. Hm, i would suggest testing 9.11 since its the ones i use and didnt give me any problems so far in this game. But make sure you do a proper installation, with drive sweeper etc.
