Everyone has focused on the SP, but Im wondering if there is going to be a multi player element to this game. Does anyone know if there is going to be a MP with the release or news of one in development?

Personally, I think it would be cool to have a MP with everything that Bioshock brings the table.

None, roughly 25 hours of gameplay though... and from the xbox 360 demo it's *drool*... wonderful

I did hear that the game was long which is of course good. Anyone know how 25 hours compares to other games like HL2, FEAR, Doom3?

I Don't know about F.E.A.R (I stopped playing after the first scary thing happened.), but 25 hours sounds about the same as Half-Life 2, and a bit longer than Doom 3.

Since it's so open-ended, I'd imagine you could play through the game several times before it gets old.

Yeah I agree. There will probably be many many ways to play the game differently each time you beat it before it gets old. So basically more than 25 hours! :)

i dont blame them. Multiplayers makes for more hassle than its worth. I like games out right now that are either multiplayer or Single player exclusive. It means that devs dont have to go an half ass each but can pool thier resources into one.

Well its been confirmed that they will release updates, to the games but were not specific about it. So new levels and such since the ending was considered abrupt?

System shock two had a separate user created coop mod, which was awesome, I would expect the same with bioshock WHICH IS EVEN MORE AWESOME. Probably won't be out until a year or two though. Officially though, it's been confirmed that there is no multiplayer out of the box. Seeing how good the reviews are, I probably wouldn't expect an official multiplayer to be released ever.

Maybe there is hope.... With updates, they normally do it when there is some type of multiplayer involved. But games also do update single player. An Example is Half Life 2. But who knows... we will in a couple of days!!! IVE ALREADY PREORDERED IT THROUGH STEAM!!!!

We received the XBOX360 version of Bioshock in advance of tomorrow's release date... We got it on Thursday, and since staff is allowed to demo, I partook... and there's no multiplayer. I don't really see what the point would be either, aside from extremely fast-paced, high-kill-count killing frenzies lol
