    Hi guys,

so I downloaded the Bioshock demo from Steam, and have tried to play it on my computer. But after a few minutes of the demo, the game will simply crash. I have a T7300 dual core processor, plenty of hard drive space, the latest nvidia drivers on the 512mb nvidia geforce 8600m GT, and 2 gigs of RAM. I want to try out this game and I know that my system can support it at the highest graphics settings (since it is automatically set to high). However, my processor seems to stall and sometimes before it crashes the game will run choppy. Oh, and I run windows vista 32 bit as my OS. any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

Use a program to measure your temps. It may be overheating.

I doubt it, Bioshock has a large handfull of problems.

It could require any number of fixes.

A forceware update to the new drivers, a DX10 update, a C++ update, a .net framework update. I had problems with it on both my desktop and notebook. On my desktop I had to do alot to fix it, on my notebook I just had to update my directX to the new version, or force DX9.

Have u tried installling the forceware 169 from nvidea..Try it .. even i faced the same problem .. system used to crash jus after the game began..Now it is running the game smoothly..You still will have problems installing the forceware because the forceware is not for the laptops. But you can go the device manager and make your system use this forceware instead of the stock driver... Hope it works
