Hi everyone,
I've been fiddling about with the Bioshock settings to see what settings I can get as a nice balance between Graphics and ''smooth'' high framerate gameplay. What have people set up on this laptop?..im using an Acer Aspire 5920G:
2,4 Ghz pentium dual core 2
2Gigs DDR 2 Ram
Geforce 8600m GT (With the modded laptopvideo 2 go drivers originally from Nvidia... so directx 10 features run and bios update from acer, which helped with frame rate I think)
Ive got a nortans antivirus trial virus software running in the background and I tend to close everything else before I play. I have the battery in high performace too if that needs to be added here.
.........if u guys and gals want more details id be happy to post........
So, at the mo ive got it on the 1024 times 760(I think) lower resolution with the shadow maps and dynamic lighting off. Everything else is on max. This runs really well but Id love to play with these shadow settings on as they look amazing...Id also love to play at the higher resolution without sacrificing frame rate. Ive also noticed with this graphics card that I can change settings externally through the nvidia control panel...at the moment I think it is just maxed out and on quality performance. I dont know what can be limited to improve performace. So all ideas would be appreciated.
Sorry for the long message, but all help would be really appreciated..and happy new year!

Overclock your card can help with performance, try rivatune, ntune, ati tool. They are overclocking softwares, make sure to test out your clock speed's stability so that your system don't crash.
