Yeah, those specs sound about right. Recommended video card is desktop 7900 GT (equivalent to a 7800 GTX/x1800xt, or on the mobile end of things, about a Go 7900 GTX). My Go 7950 GTX should be enough for max (or close to it) settings - Bioshock, here I come! :D

Those recommended specs are probably also pretty similar to the ones for Crysis as well. We'll see...

The minimum requirments of a desktop X1300 should mean the people with a notebook X1600 or go7600 should be able to atleast run it in low settings. The x1400 might just make it too.

    I didn´t understand why the x1550 is excluded, since I found it´s a renaming of the x1300

The X1550 is the same as X1300 but with higher clocks apparently, IMO, there might be the possibility of glitches or some artifacts because of that, so the game does not support it.
But there might be no problems with it at all.

What would a P4 2.4ghz Single Core Proc translate into mobile computing world?

    from wikipedia:

the desktop pentium 4 used about 82 watts.

the mobile pentium 4 used 70 watts.

and the pentium 4-m (also a mobile chip) used 35 watts.

which one are you referring to?

a 2.4 ghz pentium 4 desktop processor might keep up with about a 1.6ghz pentium m / core solo. obviously the core duo and core 2 duo are in a different ballpark.

(the newest core 2 duo's also use about 35 watts)

a 1.7 ghz p4-m takes 88 seconds to calc pi to 1 million digits.

a core 2 duo clocked at 1.7 ghz would do the same thing in under 33 seconds

again, both processors have a max load of about 35 watts.

is that what you wanted to hear?

OK, thanks! I feel a lot better then :) I'm so used to desktop gaming that these new mobile processors with different clock speeds are new to me.

yeah if you are used to a desktop p4, the fastest mobile processors are at least 3-4x the speed.

So basically with a T7300 processor, 2GB ram, and the 8600M GT....I should be able to run the game fine?

Finally a fully built DX10 game. Now if we just had more optimized drivers we could finally see if DX10 games do show significant improvement with dx10 cards.

I think early on we should see slight improvements and overtime bigger jumps because 1)This is the first ground up DX-10 game and 2) Drivers for video cards.

Though the unified architecture should work hand in hand with dx10.
