OMG! i want it now. that looks awesome.

 

Looks exactly same like modern warfare & modern warfare 2... I don't see any differences (except new weapons)..

 

Its like MW2 with extra features and Dedicated Servers. Cant wait for the beta to come out.

 

nice! it looks like they optimized the graphics even more compared to MW2. MW2's graphics were a vast improvement over CoD4's. that little remote car bomb and the new weapons look crazy!

 

Oh, just another cluster of overpowered and imbalanced weapons acting like that makes a good game. Not to mention the graphics that basically dates back to COD2... Revolutionary!

 

New content is great, but what about the host system and spawn system?

MW2 is the only one with any major weapon imbalances...and as for graphics, have you even played any of the CoD games after 2? On that note, what game does have perfect weapon balance?

Besides, I don't think anyone is trying to claim that the CoD series is "revolutionary" or particularly innovative. If it were going for that, they certainly wouldn't be using an id Tech 3-derivative engine.

Personally, I'm excited. I feel like MW2 could have been a perfect game if it weren't for the lack of dedicated servers and all the issues that stem from that, and I enjoyed Treyarch's previous work on World at War.

 

I have all the Call of Dutys, Mastershroom. I dont play Mw2 much, its a laggy POS with, as i said, horrible weapon system, spawn system, small maps with all kind of planes, choppers and missiles coming from the sky.. and i already saw COD4 as to much with constant choppers and bombings.. I suspect Black Ops to be the same but atleast theyve brought back dedicated servers, i believe.

 

It looks like it would be fun, but I actually like MW and MW2, so that's probably why.

I really don't see the point in making something so similar to MW2. I mean, MW2 already exists, people have already paid for the game, played it, lots of people are already bored of it. So where is the sense in making something exactly the same all over again?

Would have been better to see something with a totally different feel and pace to it.

 

i'm not sure i was watchin the same video as some of u guys, but...since when did any of the previous CoD's have remote control R/C bombs and that infrared camera thingy majigger? i'm stoked!

 

Other then the new gadgets shown its the EXACT same gameplay as the last two. No major innovation's, no "real" objectives. Just the same ole crap. I enjoyed it the first go around, a sequal sure, but 3 times for 90% of the same gameplay? Cmon now.

 

Even though I'm a competitive player in QL/HL2DM which gave me a headstart in MW2, I felt like the game was far too easy/tailored for masses of idiots.

Camp in one spot and pretty soon I was top fragging every single match in almost a weeks time. I also felt the typically small, underwhelming, poor maps dragged down MW2. If Black Ops offers good maps and more incentives not to sit around camping because you like your KDR or a nuke every match I might return.

 

They seem to be running out of ideas for weapons. . I wonder if the new weapons will make the game even more chaotic than it is now (RC bomb cars... n/c).
Nevertheless Call of Duty brand is so strong, it will probably be another best seller.
I may choose Medal of Honor instead.

I have been playing beta for pc now since release. It's not horrible and it runs well on modest pc systems. There is just nothing here we haven't seen already, ALA COD MW2. The hit detection system needs serious help, just like BFBC2. Weapon balancing as well... So if you like to run, shoot and run then this will probably quench your thirst for yet another popular title among the 420 kids... As for me, I am looking for something else...

If they have dedicated servers I might consider it, but with all the annoying perks it looks mediocre.

On a side note is it me or do the guns in the MW series have almost no recoil? I just got back playing CS:S and some DoD:S and man the AK-47s and the M4s kick like crazy! I mean the initial burst for the AK is accurate in CS:S, but Modern Warfare weapon's bullets travel in a straight line...

 

lol i disagree.. MW2 has been much better than MW1... and i get no lagg.. maybe ur internet is crap.. but seriously , MW2 is much better and really less spam..

As an 8th Prestige MW2 Vet with a 1.52 K/D ratio I can unbiasly say that MW2 is the most frustrating shooter I've ever experienced. The combat is extremely unbalanced. Assult rifles are more acurate than sniper rifles, sub machine guns are slightly less accurate than assult rifles, machine guns are pretty pointless, snipers are victims of hitmarkers and simply unrealistic to operate. Tactical insertions were the worst idea i've ever seen in a game. It allows for easy boosting and thats about it (although I did love killing a guy twice in a row ). Frag grenades are useless and have been replaced from the Semtex grenades (which seem to kill you no matter how far you run away). Theres so much more to complain about yet until yesterday I've continued to play it. Its like crack. You love to hate it. I seriously hope Trey Ark fixes what Infinity ward broke....

But I'll see if I have time to play Cod: 7 when im not playinjg FFXIV

 

Depends on the gun. Alot of people use guns like ACR which yes, pretty much have no recoil.

CS:S/CS is fun but their recoil is pretty much a 'learn the system' type of recoil... not really a 'realistic' recoil.

Sigh... so much hate for CoD after the release of WaW... Personally, I don't really care about the weapons' balance, or the graphics, or the perks, or the connections... if there's a zombie mode, I'm buying it.

 

Yeah completely agree I have some friends who have like mastered the recoil system and get headshots so easily after that it gets easy (if you're playing pub servers), but I still feel MW2 guns have 0 recoil.

 

Its because in sighted mode they dont. You just point and things die. Bullets always fly straight to the cross-hairs absolutely no variance.

 

Recoil != spread.

The guns don't have spread while aiming down the sight; i.e. the rounds will go where the sight is pointing. However, they do have recoil, i.e. the sights will bounce and jiggle as you shoot, making full auto inaccurate, unless you're using the ACR.

 

i can't do much but sit back and laugh at all these "complaints". first of all, a high kill/death ratio doesn't tell u jack except that u'r probably a boring yawn camper. recoil? since when was MW2 a FPS simulator or a game that was meant to mimic real life? weapon imbalance? u gotta be crappin me... why do u think MW2 is so much more in depth and class customizable?!? so that u can change yur gameplan(s) up to counter different types of weapons and players.

my only real complaint is the one man army BS. i mean c'mon...stuff like this is what really kills FPS's. they create a whole different genre of players that don't care about actual aiming and gameplay. they are just lookin for an easy way out to make up for their lack of skills.

p.s. - frag grenades have stayed the.......same?
p.p.s. - try to spray a whole vector, p90, or uzi clip at someone, while aiming down the sights, at a mid-long ranged player. good luck.

Well you'll have the option of dedicated servers, so the biggest flaw of MW2 is gone!

same here but COD5 was a let down and COD6 well i hate not having dedicated servers but the game is awesome..

 

As long as they get rid of controllable killstreaks, commando and stopping power. I'll be happy.

With dedicated servers lag should be a very small issue. For PC anyways.

 

By simply stating that you have confirmed that no matter what this game has/ consists of, you are infact ok with it. According to said comment, the game could have an invisible Yoshi running around and eating people. This goes for your OMA comment, if its not supposed to be a realistic game, you can't comment without contradicting yourself.

p.s. Frag grenades physics are FAR different than said grenades in COD4/5.
p.p.s (as you say). I've taken down MANY people from accross the map with a well aimed Mini Uzi or a Vector, heck even a M5K(?), P90? No thats the worst gun in the game imo. I'd comment about the UMP45, but theres no point.

 

It's just COD MW2 with more toys. Basically, more of the same. Not very impressed.

I'm gonna buy this game a week after release. On release day I'ma wait for the negative reviews to come out. If I read even ONE that says its an updated MW2, I will not buy it.

p.s. - anyone can hit anything, from anywhere, with a WELL PLACED shot. we were talkin about MW2 guns having no recoil so i told u to go SPRAY a few of the guns i listed to see how "they don't have any recoil." learn how to read/listen with yur eyes/ears. not yur mouth.

 

i'm in a similar mind but i don't care if its an updated MW2 as long as there's a story and new features.. this doesn't seem to be as hyped or promoted as MW2.

 

Yes butt hurt. The only thing that was butt anything was my clan tag. And you did have a response to that post, otherwise I wouldnt have been responding to said post. The game is terrible past the "honeymoon" phase. Until you realize that, I present you with this.
