Black Ops vs. Medal of Honor: Multiplayer

I've played both the Black ops and Tier 1 single player campaigns at a friends, but I haven't had a chance to try the multiplayer on either of them.

So I'm wondering: anyone out there who's tried them, and compared? Which one is better? I don't want to dish out for both games, so I'd like to know which one to buy

 

Well Medal of honor is alot of fun, but its not Call of duty, i like black ops more, minus not the few bugs the game has, within the next couple months the bugs will be fixed and it will be an awsome game. IMHO id but black ops over Medal of honor.

 

medal of honor for more tactical style and more realism. I won't make any comments about black ops since I haven't played the online multiplayer myself but i have seen my friends, and my brother playing it and It looks like they just changed the skin of MW2.

 

I felt the environment and characters get mixed in MOH. I hate that part.

Depends, I played MoH's MP beta and I hated it coz it felt like a crappy mod of Bad Company 2. IMO it's got nothing special and nothing good and it got boring fast. I've played Black Ops MP for a week now and IMO it was really fun and great gameplay-wise and I think I will continue to play it for a long time just like CoD4 MW.

If you like fast paced shooters then definitely grab Black Ops. If you prefer slower gameplay and larger maps then Battlefield Bad Company 2 is a much better choice than MoH. MOH's MP was also done by DICE but it's just wasn't up to the challenge imo.

 

Did the game change/improve at all since beta?

 

Sorry can't answer that one coz I didn't buy MoH. It probably has some improvements but I don't think the gameplay changed much at all at least according to the videos I watched. Someone else who bought MoH could answer that for you. But still I reckon BC2 is a better choice if you're considering MoH.

MoH just feels like a watered down version, but that does have it's advantages. Personally I still like black ops plenty in spite of it's flaws so by comparison MoH is just boring.

 

I would if there was camouflage with their special gear.
But most of the characters gets mixed just with their plain cloth.

True. However what separates Black Ops from MoH is that Black Ops improves on every aspect of MW & MW2 while MoH is just a lot worse than BC2.

 

Im about to buy either one of this 2 games too. Right now, I would go with black ops. but since MoH will be $34.99 on black friday, I now have doubts about my decision...

You can't really compare the two, on one hand you have Black Ops MP which is essentially the SAME as Modern Warfare 2's and on the other hand you have MoH MP which is essentially a stripped down, reskin of BC2.

Both are crap anyways. I'm holding out from buying MoH or Black Ops since both are totally unoriginal, uninspiring shooters who merely capitalize on the success of previous games without bringing anything new or interesting to the table besides their respective brand names.

 

Just wait for BC2 Vietnam.

Black Ops - Lag
Black Ops - Black Screens with memory leaks/issues
Black Ops - No consistency to game issues (meaning a 500 machine plays it fine, yet a 2000 machine has major issues even after optimizations)
Black Ops - Few optimizations for graphic levels. Shadows, aa, af, texture is about it. So it's either a you can play it or not style of game.
Black Ops - I really want it to be good, I really do... but it needs serious help.

MOH - $60 buck EA "hold over" until BFBC2 vietnam is released.

You just buy the key and you activate it on EADM. Its only $21, $20.50 right now. And this website is one of the LEGIT websites that sells legit keys. I got my key within couple of hours after ordering but i heard that some people get theirs within minutes. Really depends on what time you order your key but you always get your key in less than 24 hours. A great website in my opinion.
