Is Blazblue out for the PC yet? I can't find any info on the release date on gamespot, it doesn't even have its own PC section. A friend of mine says its already out, but all i can find are "Q1 2010" dates.

Ooo I didnt know this was headed for PC, I may have to get it if it does, I was not happy with SF4.

More reason to finish rebuilding my arcade setup so I can use my joysticks.

If you have a wii Tatsunoki vs Capcom is out now.

JP obviously meaning a japanese release?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlazBlue:_Calamity_Trigger

And yeah i do own a Wii, but i haven't even turned it on for over a year now, I def have to check out TvC maybe borrow it from a friend before i buy it.
Is the online as horribly laggy as Smash Bros was?

Not as far as I can tell. Link to amazon.co.jp here. Release date is clearly 11th of March 2010.

The arcade version of continuum shift has been leaked and it happened to work on Windows.

Yeah, sf 4 felt too "slow". I want some good old flashy arcade action without resorting to emulators.

Blazblue: Calamity Trigger (not to be confused with the psuedo-sequel 'Continuum Shift') is coming to the PC in Europe in March, with online play using GamesForWindows Live. The console versions will also be coming out in Europe at the same time.

I am not aware of a US date for the PC version.

The arcade version of Continuum Shift has indeed been leaked, and hacked to work on the PC natively. The arcade version uses Taito Type X2 hardware, which is basically a PC. The official PC version of Calamity Trigger will have home options and online play, though.

Just because two games are of the same genre, it does not make one interchangable with the other.

Yeah I would almost not even call SF4 the same genre. The reason I mentioned TvC though is because it is a lot more similar. The closest of all would be the Guilty Gear series. I have both TvC and Guilty Gear XX A Core for the Wii, with my home built joysticks you can play like at the arcade so its good fun.

Im going to be playing Blazblue soon though, never played it but always wanted to check it out. Now that I see its PC bound its a must get for me.

Gotta check out the guilty gear x heavy rock tracks OST. They redid the music with real instruments instead of synthesized and it sounds awesome. Infact so much so I am about to take it off my phone and put it on my laptop so I can listen to it while I do some work.

That adapter I got last week that lets me connect my two wii clasic controllers should be good for this game. The dpad is very usable unlike the 360 controller I am gonna try it out today and see how it fairs.

i just hate how sf4 players are. they are so good you cant lay a finger on them and its no fun to play or you get very lucky and find someone your skill level and they rage quit after you win like two mathes in a row forcing you back to the game searching abyss.

plus im upset about the severe lack of support on the game. no microphone options. bad gamepad support. and no 2 player keyboard support (really bad for diy arcades like mine)

everything was so easy to fix and standard game options but it never happened

Well since none of my friends play it, i have no one to play it offline which i would like. On top of that i don't own a fightstick since i play on my keyboard and that way i cant even play anywhere else in my area that may play it offline. So yeah the 2 player offline options weren't really a concern for me, i just hate the horrible input lag online which have caused me to lose countless matches.

As far as the skill level thing goes, i will agree there, i have met players who have wiped the floor with me, but thats the beauty of sf4. When i can't beat someone i will try something new and see if that works.

Heres to hoping SSF4 comes to PC

Many of the PC based arcade machines run Windows. That makes porting quite easy to normal PCs or to the 360, and vice versa. Only problem is we don't get those funky, yet cool new sets of proprietary hardware like back in the late 90s. Kind of strange to have the game come to PC, but if it's easy to port, and if there seems to be a market for it, why not? Even if the NA and EU markets are not that hot for that particular game on the PC, the Japanese will probably be more than happy to buy it. Lost Planet PC did very well in Japan I hear (probably because so few Japanese have 360s).

Blazblue is pretty awesome. I have Calamity Trigger on the Xbox 360 and the online portion was really good.

Sure I got my handed to me by Japanese people but I was still able to handle my own.

    Taokaka > all

Hmm, if i read this right, and i would like to think I did, these ever so nice people are completely alleviating my need to purchase a ps3!!!

2 things for those itching to play BlazBlue, Guilty Gear XX #Reload Midnight Carnival was released for the pc, however its really rare so you may have to resort to piracy, and Guilty Gear XX ^c+ for the ps2 is awesome.

Shhh no talk of piracy here on the forums. Its prohibited.

#reload was the first revision of the game, since I have A Core on the Wii not sure if the PC version will be better in any way. guess I will check it out.

Accent core + wasn't relased for the pc. Just if your itching to play BlazBlue'esque then guilty gear is the way to go.
