    Hey.

Blocky flash video on Nvidia card, not on integrated Intel....How to fix?

Well I bought this new Dell XPS 15 laptop, and when viewing videos in full screen in flash, especially hd videos, the videos are kind of blocky and not clear, when I switch to Intel integrated graphics, video is perfectly clear.

    I have Nvidia GT 420M.

I have OPTIMUS Nvidia installed, I also tried the new beta drivers 266.35, but it did not fix the issue.

Anyone know how to view hd flash videos in full screen perfectly clear and not blocky?

    Thanks.

I don't have blocky videos at all, the nvidia card kicks in and plays the video perfectly, the only issue is the on screen controls flicker, this is a bug posted about in the firefox bug tracker atm, turning off flash acceleration (flash settings) fixes this.

perhaps you just need to update to the latest flash?
I would avoid the beta versions at the moment though, they gave me some bad problems with fullscreen and optimus.

how did you get nvidia 266.35 to install? it refused to install for me, and attempting the normal force manual install trick failed also, it doesn't recognise the hardware.

New driver is out now, so you can install that, someone posted a topic in this forum with link.

Here is a picture showing the blocky video. Its only part of a video I took the picture off. Remember this is HD flash video, normal videos I am not sure if this happens or not.

Anyone know how to fix? or what is causing it? I have latest drivers.

Check your video settings in the NV control panel, something could be conflicting/tinkering with the image to bad effect.

Usually post processing effects don't add improvements but they do add more more crap to ruin the video. I turn off all post processing.

You should have a seperate section for video settings, those are 3d settings.
