    The game has been region locked 2 days ago, so I took out the link from the OP.
    Anyone who already activated it on Steam can of course continue to play it.

    Hello, Just found this forum,and am considering buying borderlands 2 and poss the season pass as well,

    I have had a good trawl through the CD key sites selling the RU version, All give instructions on how to activate on steam using a free Russian vpn , This is the bit that concerns me , as does that there doesn't seem to be any up to date info,
    Does anyone know if this activation method works, And would steam ban my account if it came to light ?

    The only other solution that i can think of would be to buy the retail dvd on amazon uk for £12.99 free delivery, but what is the problem is the price of the season pass £19.99 seems to be the cheapest, which is a rip off should be no more than £15.00 as digital download only so less costs to publishers ect

    Borderlands 2 is region free, so no VPN required.

    Be aware that not all games on Yuplay are region free.

    Thanks , but i'm sure it still is listed as region free or was yesterday ,I did also ask uplay their reply " Purchases made in Russia are only playable in Russia, CIS as well as Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia."
    I also asked steam support for clarification on activation of region locked cd key's and the playability factor too, but as yet no response from them, is this typical of steam support?
