I have the malibal NP8130/P151HM1 with a gtx 560m gpu. I just bought borderlands 2 a couple of days ago and noticed the temps while playing are around 91c-93c. I understand that the max temp for the gpu is 95c but are these temps normal? I also noticed playing shogun 2 the temps also reach this high.

Anything I could do to help lower these temps because the settings are on the lowest for both games.

    Thanks.

Your GPU probably wants a repaste.

Do your fans hit max speed?

How can I check to see if my fans hit max speed? I tried to download some apps to control fan speed but this gpu isn't compatible to do so.

Speedfan can tell you the fan speed.

I don't think my motherboard is compatible with the program. It won't show the fan speed and the advanced fan tab is also not the same as the others. I do believe the fans are hitting 100% though.

The cooling on the NP8130 is pretty good afaik so I think you should definitely open the machine up and clean it. If the temps don't get lower do a repaste as well and that should solve the issue. (Unlike on my GE60 which has quite crappy cooling :/ .)
