Hi,I'm wondering if you guys heard about this new card?
cause it already has a review from Taiwan

there are some gaming tests in that link, check it out if you like
and it got amazingly low temperature, seems a very good card ..however the price is the same as 7970m,considering the driver issue and low temp ,still a good choice I guess![]()

Hmm? A 675M X?
Is this a kepler card? Because I'm seeing that +135MHz OC limitation found in almost all Kepler based graphics card. Or is it just a regular GTX 675M (580M)?
Can you give us a GPU-Z screenshot and a PCB close up for the card? -
According to the article ,it is GK104 ,same as 680M,just weaker

I am intrigued. Perhaps a Kepler bridging point between the 660m and and the 680m?
-
Seems interesting, a kepler based MXM card for the price of a 7970M
How far behind is the 675MX when compared to a 680M? -
SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
Using the tests from Notebookcheck, I'm seeing
16366 Vantage GPU on the 675mx vs 20723 for the 680m.
3959 3DM11 GPU on the 675mx vs 5918 on the 680m.
NBC has the 7970m at 21406 Vantage GPU and 5542 3DM11 GPU.
Using NBC's scores (NBC is not completely reliable, take the results with a grain of salt, yadda yadda), it looks like a card that performs better than the Fermi 675m but still falls short of the 7970, much less the 680m. -
It is the successor of the GTX 570M. Looks like Nvidia didn`t want to wait for the 700M series, so they introduced "MX" prefix so that they can close the hole between the GTX 660M and GTX 680M.
My Kepler K4000M have 960 cores, I`m pretty shure this 675MX will have the same amount of cores since Nvidia usually do a Quadro and a Geforce version out of the same amount of cores.. And thats really great news for me since I can now use Geforce drives instead of the Quadro drivers
GTX 675MX is already listed in the Geforce.com drivers section btw.
With 64C max temperature in 3DMark11 and 3DMark06, this will be a great GPU for people looking for a cool GPU. Its about 20-30% faster than GTX 580M but much cooler.
Great find OP. +rep -
Seems a bit far behind the 680M, and slightly behind the 7970M. But no driver/enduro issues like the 7970M?
-
Nah, its not close to 7970M. Probably around 15-20% difference between them.
But yeah, no graphic switching problems -
According to the new linux drivers, there's supposed to be a 670mx as well.
-
You`re right R3d.
Asus is out with one soon with 3630QM and GTX 670MX

AMD Lineup
7850M < 7870M < 7950M (?) < 7970M
Maybe?
Curious of how the 670MX and the 675MX will make it into Sager/Alienware systems and the performance results
@Cloud
Is the 3630QM a replacement for the 3610QM?
Like how the 2630QM got replaced by a 2670QM last year? -
The 670mx/675mx will probably be based on the new GK106 chips I think. Or maybe they'll be even more cut down GK104s (a la the gtx660ti) but I think it'd be weird for Nvidia to put GK106 in desktops only.
-
-
GTX 675MX is a GK104. GTX 670MX I`ve seen mentioned with GK106. So who knows it might be.
There will be 3 new GPUs that is Kepler it seems:

GeForce GTX 670MX

@Mobius: No 3630QM is not replacing 3610QM. Its a 35W TDP CPU and 3610QM is a 45W TDP CPU.
EDIT: No I'`m wrong. The 3630QM is replacing the 3610QM actually. The 3632QM is 35W. 3630QM is a 45W -
Eh, a GK104? So GTX 660 based?
Having quite a trouble keeping up with new nvidia 6-series cards ._.
-
LOL nice pic. Have no idea. you`re not the only one who are confused by the million of different GPUs out there. guess we will have to wait for a GPU-Z screenshot
Check my edit on my last post btw. 3630QM is replacing 3610QM and both are 45W -
I guess same goes with the 3720QM --> 3740QM (meaker has one O: ) 3820QM --> 3840QM?
Any info on the GT 645M? Maybe in the M11x R4? -
Anyone got a guess on release date for the 675mx?
-
Lol if 670MX supports SLI Alienware/Sager could have 3 nvidia choices

Interesting but unlike the 570 and 580 it looks like the 675mx wont come close to the 680 when tweaked.
-
,I dont know how much ES sample would cost, but normal one costs about 17500NT dollars~= $600 US
-
That's more than the 680M ._.
-
680m ES can get below 600 usd where?/

If AMD's leaked desktop 8870 is correct (meaning the mobile card will come this year) nVIDIA might be forced to release a 690M. -
AMD 8850= AMD 8950M
AMD 8870= AMD 8970M
GTX 680M + OC= GTX 685M
GTX 780/770 (?) (GK 110)= GTX 690M
This is how I believe it will work -

The card-only GTX 680M is around $750-900 now
Strange how an $370 desktop GPU is transported to a smaller PCB and sold "as is" but ends up a whole lot more than the original -
i think gk 104 full die with higher clocks maybe at 800~850 on the core will be gtx 690m or gtx 685m ie is desktop gtx 680 but it might be gtx 780m also because i dont think AMD will release 8850/8870 desktop cards this year maybe in january they if 8870 s 249 and beats desktop gtx 670 even then we are in for a treat

GK110 has about as much chance of making it into a notebook and performing at any reasonable level as I do of winning against Bolt in the 100m.
7 billion transistors + 384bit mem bus............................
680M is on a custom designed PCB (Cost) with a small production run (Cost) and a cherry picked core (cost). -

I hope he could do the same for the 675mx. -
failwheeldrive Notebook Deity
god I wish this were out now. I just ordered my NP9150 with the 675m because I was worried about the 7970 and 680 is out of my price range. If this card was available around the same price as the 7970 I would be ALL OVER IT lol
-
while i am happy with my 675m, a bit more power wouldnt hurt!
-
niffcreature ex computer dyke
Lol, funny, looks kinda like someone messed up in marketing and they forgot to make the 670m a 665m, the 670m a 675m and the 675mx just 675m.
-
So, you're saying it's possible to flash a Clevo GTX 680M to a K5000M? O____O
-
niffcreature ex computer dyke
Yes I believe it is possible, svl7 would know better than I. However, you can't get any of the performance gains you normally get from a quadro card.
-
No its not possible. There are hardware differences between Quadro and Geforce cards now because Nvidia wanted to separate business and gaming GPUs and didn`t want anyone softmodding the Geforce cards to Quadro`s which was possible before. Not to mention that the memory on the Quadro`s are much more advanced and expensive than the memory on the Geforce cards.
Nvidia gotta satisfy the customers that paid 4x the amount of money for the K5000M, when they could have just bought a 680M, flashed it to K5000M and saved a lot of money. Rightfully so too in my opinion
You can however flash a Quadro to a Geforce though. I`m not shure why this goes when there is a hardware difference -
So the K5000M has an ECC memory profile/compatible chips that can switch to non-ECC mode (680M vBIOS)
But the 680M doesn't have an ECC memory capabilities required by the K5000M vBIOS? -
I don`t know if the ECC memory is what makes the difference that allows the Quadro to be flashed to Geforce. Sounds like an interesting theory
Its not the only hardware difference that separates the 680M and the K5000M btw. I don`t remember exactly what it is though. There is a guy in this forum who have studied them who said there was some fine lines cut by laser on the Geforce. -
-
hmmmmm, I just found the comment. Its from "Prema", he says the Geforce could work with Quadro vbios but without the extra performance you get in professional software with Quadro`s. So its kinda useless to do it. So you`re absolutely right Mobius, Nvidia damaged the Geforce GPUs on purpose. LOL who would have thought
Brand-new Nvidia 675MX shows up?
