    Brian Lara Cricket 2007 Freezes..

    I have a XPS M1530 with following config..
    C2D [email protected], 3GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 8600M GT 256 MB, 250GB HDD, Vista Home Premium.

    When i try to run Brian Lara International Cricket 2007, it loads fine and everything else works fine, the problem is it randomly freezes/hangs during gameplay, i had to bring up the Task Manager and kill the process manually, everytime it happens.
    Sometimes it freezes at once, sometimes after 5-10 minutes..
    The GPU/CPU Temperatures are under control. Dunno what is the problem.
    I will be glad if someone helps...

    The one i am talking about is from Codemasters. There is also Cricket Series from EA too.. Playing it since EA Cricket 97...


    @topic anybody having any idea?? :(

    Does the game have any trouble running on laptops? Do try updating the game to the latest available version(patch it). Try disabling verical sync in the nvidia control panel. What resolution are you running the game at?

    I am running it @640x480, 63 Hz refresh rate, 32bit (Lowest settings)
    The game is patched to latest version... and i tried disabling vertical sync too.. :(
    Maybe the problem with Vista?? Dammn.
    These are the temperatures. just after it froze...

    Try enabling anisotropic filtering and set it to 4x or 8x instead of "application controlled" in nvidia control panel and see if there is any improvement..
    There is no sign of any overheating...

    or u could try reinstalling windows if all else fails.(it worked for me when i was having BSD with SPORE)

    @p1990 Turned anisotropic filtering to both 4x and 8x. No help.Though Video freezes audio continues to come... :eek:
    @umar yeah that will be the last resort, if nothing else works.. :(
