When I play call of duty on my z81sp (6800go, P4 630 @ 3.0ghz, 2gb pc4200) the game tends to take brief pauses every now and then. They only last about 1 second, but it is extremely distracting and really throws me off during fire fights. I have it set on 1280x800 resolution, Antialiasing 2x, with all textures settings on high (normal maps are turned up on extra).

Is this kind of performance issue typical for a system with my specs?

I know what your problem is... and I feel sorry to say this. You have an Uniwill motherboard which is the same as the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M3438G/M4438G. These notebooks have a RAID controller that causes 'lag' during games. It is said that this problem can be solved with a driver. Try this: http://support.fujitsu-siemens.com/...&ClassID=435BB2C0-7983-468D-8B6F-A296BF7DEC74

Note: I am not responsible for damage done to your notebook by this driver. I have heard that it is compatible with your system.

The lag is not related to your CPU, Memory or hard drive. It is a manifacturer fault caused by the motherboard and SATA hard drive. I have heard that people that downgraded their hard drive to ATA do not have this problem.

    Good luck,

    Charlie :)
