I have my brightness setting at 60% on my g55 right now and the same with all my other laptops. What I don't get is my brightness increases automatically to 100% max whenever i run any type of game or benchmark application like 3dmark vantage 06/11.

As soon as i leave the application or game and i'm back to my desktop, my brightness setting is still 100% and I have to manually readjust it again using power options or fn+ command key.

So to sum it up, my brightness and i like it 60% and so I set it at 60% but then when i run a benchmark or i run a game, it forces my brightnes to a very eye hurting uncomfortable 100% brightness and after i leave the app or game, it sticks to 100% until i manually adjust it again.

    What is going on pls

as far as i know thats normal and i dont think you can change it.
futuremark benchmarks push your lappy to see what it can do so everything automatically gets set to high.

I understand that but when the benchmark or game is done and after i closed it, the brightness is still at 100% and i have to manually readjust it back to comfortable lvls. I mean it is ok if the benchmark adjust it to 100% then when it is done auto reverts back to my desired brightness setting, it's like someone borrowing your stuff and they change settings and then gives it back to you all messed up, you know a mean.

software can adjust to max but arent programed to return to what you manually set it too.

Does this happen with EVERY game? Games shouldn't be doing that. May be benchmarks. Not games.
