Now, this is a COMPLETE mirrored version of the real Brothers In Arms Franchise. Gearbox already has a game like this, and it's called Borderlands, so why not call it Borderlands Furious 4 instead of giving it a prestige name like Brothers n Arms?

    Now watch this,
    width='420' height="345"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0nqddHyvdYc?version=3&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0nqddHyvdYc?version=3&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width='420' height="345" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Watch 2:38, don't watch it all, just watch the part where Baker tells Hartsock he can't walk any more and where he is going back to see his family and see his daughter's 3rd birthday.

Now watch the Furious 4 trailer.

    HUGE DIFFERENCE.

Gearbox, you screw up Duke Nukem Forever, and now Brothers In Arms?

Don't count on gearbox to make a sequel to a awesome franchise. :(

Gearbox, to fix this, call the new game BorderLands Furious 4.

Pretty sure Brothers in Arms is a Gearbox game, they created the IP. They can do whatever they want with it.

But I'll be boycotting it anyway, it's a Ubisoft game.

why would anyone buy a game with ubisoft as publisher? pointless. it will require constant internet connection, and their DRM connection servers keep getting attacked by hackers.

    obvious no?

I don't think we discussing Ubi here. Original BIA come out when there was still normal DRM, which didn't require teh Internets all the time.

    Looks like TF2: The RPG

What's IP stand for btw. I always assumed it stood for internet protocol. I'm pretty sure that's not what you're referencing.

That's a ing bull excuse and you know it. The other games in the series were released in consoles as well. If anything, it's an attempt to casualize the series to increase their sales on ALL platforms. Don't think casual games don't have PC fanbases as well.

There is a difference between dumbed down games and casual games.
I loved both Peggle and Plants vs Zombies on my PC, so much i probably got duplicate versions on my PC, consoles and handhelds.
(Still looking forward to the Android release outside Amazon appstore.)

Lets take Killzone as an example.
I loved the second game in the series because of how the weapons ingame felt kinda heavy and slugish as they "simulated" weapon weight.
The third game removed that and while its still good it was dumbed down.

    Mass Effect 1, a Xbox 360 port.
Might be a little rough someplaces (elevators anyone?) it included different armors, items and all that stuff.
Still own the Xbox 360 version.
Mass Effect 2 was more streamlined because they scrapped features from the first game. (aka dumbing down)
    Do i hate the game?
Not as much as you would think.

Same can be said with Dragon Age, Fable and probably a bunch of other game series.

But i am not a console "racist".
I own 1 PS3 Phat, PSN id is deagleson.
I own 2 Xbox 360, one being homebrew enabled while the other is a Slim unit.
    Xbox Gamertag is Sgt DEagleson.
My list goes on... Wii, DS, 3DS, PSP Go (rofl), PS2, Xbox1, N64, PS1, bunch of Gameboys, and my priced SNES and NES.
My Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) died on me though. :(

I personally like what they did between Mass Effect and ME2. In my opinion, ME1 tried too hard to be an RPG; the horrid inventory system and the rather arbitrary leveling system really added nothing to the gameplay. ME2 kept the concept together, but I think it's much more streamlined rather than "dumbed down". The leveling, for example; instead of having 20-some ranks per skill, each of which gives you like +2% weapon/power damage or +5 health, you have 4 ranks for each skill/power, all of which are significant. And really, who misses turning all the hundreds of useless weapons, armor and mods you find into omni-gel? :p

ME1 had a better story me thinks.

On-Topic: I really hope they change the games name.

I know you aint a console racist, i was just kidding :p Though i agree, it is bad that they decide to dumb games so much... Though as with ME i prefered the second game, it just felt much faster phased and polished! I dident like the original game quite that much. With that said, i F´ing hate gearbox for doing this to their fantastic series!

I look forward to this game. Looks fun, I like co-op games. Personally this looks more fun than BF3 to me.

I also look forward to Borderlands 2.

If GearBox wants to release 20 co-op FPS games with great gun mechanics, I think that would be fantastic.
