I installed burnout paradise and it worked perfectly with sound. after a few days, the sound disappeared and there has been on way to get the sound back up. the game still works perfectly though.
windows 7, altec lansing HD sound card, 9600m gt

try reinstalling it... That's quite a weird problem... also try updating ur IDT sound drivers.... i use the ones in the Dv5t driver thread...

May be wrong but I had the same issue try the following if you are running vista. Once the game is loaded go to your desktop and then click the volume control on the one the right.
Open up mixer and check the volume for Burnout paradise

Also try (alt + tab) out of the game and then go back after. -

nope in game volume is fully on. anyways i fixed it. i just reinstalled burnout and the sound came back.
