So, I have been getting a very load buzzing coming from the 7800GTX I just put in my computer. It's an electrical buzzing, somewhat like the noise the processor makes, but MUCH louder. It only happens when I run some type of 3D program though, usually games of course.
Any idea what this could be?? Should I send the card back?? As much as I'd hate to go through the effort of sending it back, I think I'm gonna have to, because it is really load, and I am pretty sure something is wrong with it. Just wanted some other opinions![]()
Oh, and it is DEFINITELY the video card. Not a fan or anything like that, it is the card itself. Just so nobody suggests something like that!!

What if i suggest that it is the fan on the gpu?

i heard the sound!
just got mine today and i could hear it for like 20 seconds and then it faded away... -
Yeah, mine kinda went away now too. I think I'll just stick with it, since it seems to be working fine. It is running quite well atleast
