    C&C3 Memory Problems!!

    Check my sig for specs but:
    T7500
    3GB RAM
    8600m GT ddr3

    After lets say around 30 minutes to an hour or so on Tiberian Wars, My computer minimizes this screen then pops this out. This is the second time it has occured to me again. I checked my GPU temps and they are at a nice standard 68C to around 65C.

    I don't get it!!! Help Please :confused:

    It sounds like there is a memory leak in the program itself. ~62% of memory is really close to the 2GB barrier that programs are allowed to have.

    This isn't something that you caused...at least I do not think so.

    I got that game a few weeks ago and it runs great on my system which isnt too far off from yours. Have you updated to the latest game patch? I bought the game for my brother at christmas and had some crashes on his system until he updated C&C (the dummy, I told him to update but noooo lol). Other than that try killing the windows update and steam (I see them in the task bar down there) or other nonessential programs sitting in memory and try again.

    You updated the game?
    The 1.0 crashed a lot with me, but after I updated to 1.04(the latest by the time I got the game), the game started to run a lot better.

    There are a couple of things you can do:

    1) Search any C&C3 support forums for people with similar problems

    2) Ensure that the game is fully patched

    3) Ensure that your page file is set to "system managed size"

    4) Make sure that there is nothing wrong with your hardware. Remove one RAM module at a time and try to run the game again. If it is a hardware issue, you can then isolate the problem. Run memtest86+ burn-in test on the suspected RAM chip.

    You should definitely look into option 1). Chances are that with so many people using this game, someone else has encountered this very same problem. Let us know how it goes.
