Very interesting device, a handheld W10 computer.

As long as it's at the price range of switch then it's a buy for me.

Highly doubt it'll be anywhere near the price of a switch cmon man this is AW your talking about.JRE84 likes this.

It's going to run on an Intel integrated GPU. I wouldn't get my hopes up too high on this thing.

There doesn’t seem to be any AW graphics amp port. Which if true is a huge let down. But honestly I’ll probably get one regardless. I take my switch with daily. And there are a lot of games in my pack log I need to play. So this would be perfect for that. So I’d get a lot of mileage out of it. But if I can’t hook it up to the Graphics amp at home then that defeats the value of a dock for it in my opinion.

I didn't even think of that.
They should of added a Graphics Amp port LOLTerreos likes this. -
It looks like the demo setup Asus used a couple of years ago - what appeared to be a high speed dedicated dual USB set up - which was a actually a dual PCIE x4 gen 3 external hook up - it was a developer test rig used in the Asus demo.
I would imagine once it's productized either those dual connections will be codified into the production laptop or they will integrate the AW graphics amp port.Terreos likes this. -
Right? That would be the perfect device setup. Makes a lot more sense than even with a laptop. I’m hoping they’re still in the prototype stage and will add it to the final product. Regardless it would still be a sell for me just do to it would replace my switch in my backpack everyday.
That’s actually encouraging to hear. I think that would really sell the product for anyone interested in something like this.hmscott likes this. -
It’s not in its final form just the concept phase ( very polished looking ) for all we know they can use Tiger Lake or a AMD 4800U if ever released. Who knows maybe even a low power MX350.
Actually a 15W 4800U able to boost to 20W/25W in gaming mode sounds like a good match and would be a cheaper alternative to anything Intel would have to offer.
What I do know is it’s turned some heads and looks good enough to be released tomorrow.hmscott likes this. -
Integrated Graphics aside, this little device looks really interesting, I can see it being handy (no pun intended) to play non-demanding and vintage games on. If they were to add a Graphics Amp port though, then that would really sweeten the deal.

You can't fit anything resembling a dGPU in there. It's using an iGPU of some sort. Whether it comes with Icelake, or wait and come with Tigerlake/Renoir we don't know.Prototime likes this.

Wish they incorporate a powerful GPU inside of that AW UFO. And undervolt it to the max from the factory for optimal performance.

Highly doubt it will have a dedicated GPU but a AMD 4800U or Tiger Lake CPU would be a great fit.
