I think it would run slighty better on 32bit...
    But nothing too noticeable...
    Oh and... GREAT game :)

CoD4 does not benefit from a 64bit OS. Therefore, with the addition that XP has more mature drivers than Vista (especially Vista64), the game will perform better on XP32 than Vista64.

Wouldn't matter the littlest bit considering the configuration of the rig in your signature... will pwn COD4 altogether (on Vista 64) !! :) :D
EDIT: You can't add up the RPM... lol just LOL! :p And you can't add up GPU RAM either (it's dual 512MB not 1GB) ;)

yea, idk, with vista 64, atleast it'll see all of your ram from both your modules, and gfx card. With xp, you'll get a big 3.25 (which can sometimes be dissapointing, depending on who you are) But it'll run smoother on XP32 as mentioned previously

Thanks for the input guys, and yes I'm a fool but I just makes me feel better. Wouldn't it be cool to have 1GB on each card. :)

Since we're on the topic of his sig...

It's 8800 M GTX, not Go 8800GTX. Go is so last gen. lol. Kinda like saying Pentium Core2Duo. :p

And agreed. Whatever OS, your laptop will pulverize that game. Just be sure it is 64-bit compatible in the first place.

yes, on top of me being an idiot I have fond memories of my old XPS Gen 2. The 6800 served me well.

COD 4 runs awesome on my system pretty much max settings at native resolution...and your system is better than mine:

    Macbook Pro 15" Matte 1440 X 900
    2.6ghz
    4gig ram
    8600m GT 512 GDDR3
    7200 rpm 200gb HD
