    COD 4 single player weapon choices?

    I LOVE the shotgun but I only get to use it every now and again...is there a way to find one on each level?

    Also, I thought it said in the game description that you could "rank up" your guy and be able to select your weapon loadout before the mission.

    Can anyone shed some light on this?

    Rank up and Class Creation is for multiplayer. You gain experience points and level-up in multiplayer. When you level up you get new weapons, perks, and attatchments you use to customize your own character class.

    Single player is a whole different ballgame..I only play online multiplayer so I'm not sure how that works but I wouldn't imagine theres a shotgun on every level..maybe you can find a cheat or something that tells you where each gun is on the different levels?

    I prefer the Dragunov with a combination of the M4A1 carbine or M4A1 Carbine with grenade launcher.

    Best thing ever. :)

    Agreed, I like the M16 with grenade launcher. Love the P90 and the MP5 too.

    M4A1 or any rifle/semi automatic is pretty much the way to go. Shotgun is fun on some parts but is not always effective. If/Whenever you find a Barret .50 Cal hold onto that for the level, it is sooooo good.

    MP5, with Gold D.Eagle for long-range, claymores, UAV jammer, and Dead silence = tons of fun sneaking up from behind and killing enemy campers and snipers, or popping out from a corner and surprising the enemy.

    thats multiplayer. But if I remember correctly I was using G36c + red dot sight, claymores, UAV jammer, and extreme conditioning (not a high enough level for dead silence yet).
