COD Ghosts on M18X

I have been trying to play COD Ghosts on my M18X (specs in sig) at optimal (chosen by application) graphics settings it looks horrible. Is this really that demanding a game graphically? Or am I missing something?

Random freezes requiring reboot in single player

Can rarely get steam to connect in multiplayer

Running Catalyst 14.1 Beta drivers

Nah its not demanding at all, just runs like garbage on PC.

 

try turning crossfire off as lots of people suffering with sli setups.

i never had one problem with campaign so cant advise on that.

in multi do you get any error message on screen saying try later blah blah blah.

also try some of these

My own 680m cant even run Ghosts multiplayer on the lowest graphical settings without getting insane micro stuttering. Combine that with poor Crossfire support then it might explain why you cant play it decent.
Top that with hackjob PhysX stuff. Black Ops 2 looked the same on PC but at least that one could easily reach 120fps on my system.

Try manually setting the aspect ratio to 16:9 and see if it helps.

 

It's probably a crappy console port. As others have said disable SLI, or try forcing Vsync through NVCP.
I would just hold out until their next update, if there is no sign of improvement it just verifies my first sentance.

 

there was only 800 players on last night and most prob even less today as titanfall has finally gone live in uk.

 

I get random crashes and it’s a real pain to get to task manager to close it. I have given up on it, it’s the worst game ever. Steam should stop selling it.

 

Infinity Ward can't handle DX11, clearly. You can only trust Treyarch to produce a decent PC port. I heard BLOPS2 was a good quality PC port. I'd be cautious at Sledgehammer's upcoming entry as they're a yet unproven studio in the COD franchise.

 

Your PC doesn't have problems from the driver, spec or how you handle your computer.

The problem starts when you decide to buy COD Ghosts.

 

Thanks for the replies and suggestions everyone. Will give them a go and see if it improves............... But for now I think I'll give Titanfall a go Hopefully this works better!
