COD MW2 - What you look forward to most

For those of you who still plan on getting the game (on any platform), what are you looking forward to the most?

For me, it's the riot shield, akimbo, pro abilities, and wider range of secondary weapons/attachments.

Back on playstation I became notorious amongst my friends for dominating a match using only a Desert Eagle. There's nothing like stalking an opponent, walking right up to them, and blowing them away point blank. The riot shield and akimbo both enhance that experience. With the riot shield, my entire backside is protected while I use my pistol. Whenever I'm in the mood to let the Eagle loose, my primary weapon is never used. Better to exchange that for protection, right? It also opens up new types of team gameplay. Akimbo is kind of obvious.

Pro abilities are just awesome. Nuff said.

New secondary weapons and attachments up the level of customization. Go heartbeat monitor!

Oh yeah...single player looks dope too.

 

The patch to bring back DEDICATED SERVERS.

That Akimbo ability sounds nice too, I wonder how practical it would be in combat though.

 

An expansion on CoD4 really.

I'm hoping they've fixed many things and added others (I haven't been following this game 'cause I've been busy with others).

P.S. Akimbo sounds pretty stupid (unless you dominate with a Desert Eagle ). Then again, the game is more action oriented then a tactical shooter. Dual wielding fits right in, in that case.

 

COD MW2 - What you look forward to most

I look forward to the single player campaign and the single-player 'Special Ops' missions like the epilouge 'Mile High Club' mission in the first game.

I still keep playing the single player missions in the first game in Arcade Mode to rack up as many points as I can. This is coming from a guy that couldn't care less for achievements and trophies.

So I look forward to doing the same in the sequel. I hope that there would be more 'Special Ops' missions to download in the future, anything to give me more single-player levels. There's already 23 of those 'Special Ops' levels and with the SP Campaign, I would be busy for a while just with Arcade Mode.

Eh, maybe I'll try out multiplayer to see what all the rage is about, I never play online multiplayer but maybe I should check it out.

 

If I can't pick everything, then I have to say the single player campaign. My internet has been acting up, so I'm going to play the heck out of it

 

For me, its the new weapons, maps and yes, the graphics! Not to mention a little longer gameplay.

 

I was looking forward to everything, the singleplayer campaign, the new and improved multiplayer with bigger maps and new weapons.

but then...

No dedicated servers which practically killed the MP. So I didn't buy it. But meh, I'll probably pick it up when one of you guys gets bored and sells it for $20 in the BST section. Oh wait, you can't! It's tied to your STEAM account. lulz.

 

I look forward to this game failing so developers will know they can't mistreat PC gamers and get away with it.

And this IS a good thing for all of us PC gamers isn't it?

but seriously- most things about MW2 look awesome. the game looks to be a cool and well timed follow up to the original, which i never bought but played through the single player campaign on a friend's xbox.

Somehow the whiners still find a way to complain...it will still be an awesome game.

Well, I hear the disk will make a nice frizbee? No seriously, not like you'll EVER need it anyway since the game is on steam, even the disk version.

The game absolutely looks great, and I'm sure it will be a LOT of fun. New weapons, animations, new storyline, there's nothing stopping this from being the best game of the year! Then they announced IWnet......

Watch this video, if it asks for age verification, do that, then click the link again. Go to the very end of the video. You'll notice the game host drops from the server, and the game will say it's locating a new host, then there's a count down til the game starts back up where it left off. I'm pretty convinced now that this is how it's going to work. It'll find the most suitable person currently in the match to host off of.

 

That is what we needed in CoD4 on the consoles. Thank god they listened, though a bit late IMO.

It's funny, while writing that first post I thought to myself "nobody's going to listen," and for the most part I was right. People just love infecting others with their misery. Whatever.

Throwing knife and tactical insertion. I think semtex is stupid though, especially in a realistic shooter.

I'll post whatever I want. All my MW2 post are acts of protest, and if a mod wants to delete them, he can go ahead.

Until then everybody is entitled to my enraged opinion.

 

If u don't like the game , don't come protesting here.. go and protest on activision or infinity ward forums.. nothing is gonna happen if you protest here. Most of the ppl in this thread and the 14 million ppl who pre-ordered it are looking forward to the game.. your just acting like an outcast and if you got nothing else to say get off this thread... and now comming back to the topic.. Single player looks like its gonna be awesome..

Definitely looking forward the snow scenes! And a multiplayer map with blizzard will be chaotic (in a good way).

It needed to be said once. It's already been said over nine thousand times. Enough of that.

As for more specific things, I can't wait to play in Kazakhstan. I don't think there's a single game out there yet that focuses on my home country.

Plus the Russia level should be good too

Oh and Afghanistan.

Looks sweet. I'm surprised and glad they included that terrorist level. I'm not sadistic or anything like that, it just provides a unique perspective to the game that you don't see everyday.

Melee attacks look SICK.

 

Make sure you guys report back on how much you like the 8 vs. 8 multiplayer!!!

 

LOL, that's what it is? I heard about no dedicated servers but wasn't up to speed on the player limits. That's pretty bad.

 

Even if it isn't 8 vs. 8 (which all indications are that it is) it's still gonna lag horribly when your host has a crappy connection!

Clearly, IW purposefully made MW2 as similar as possible on both the consoles and the PC. So if you wanna play a console game as the PC, go right ahead and buy MW2. Enjoy your lag, 8 vs. 8, and $10 DLC every three months.

 

I see Andrew Kramer's special effect tutorials are going far.

 

Its statements like these that make me happy that DVD costs a few cents, a search on the internet cost me nothing, and a DIY project is priceless.

 

yup but cod4 was sooo good I think almost every1 would pay 70 euros for it Including me!
Oh as for me, I cant wait to snipe with the heartbeat sensor and a silencer(bling WOOOOOWWW) Second weapon gonna be an auto pistol to own any1 that dares to come to my camper spot

 

Hope the graphics are awesome, looking for some amazing effects.
