    Hi Guys!

This weekend, I bought Call of Duty 1. Recently, I played the part 2 Demo and liked it pretty much and as COD1 is around for just a few €, I first got this one.

Now, I’ve got 2 technical issues. No. 1 isn't actually a problem anymore, but I wonder if others experienced similar issues.

    1. I wasn’t successful when I tried to install it for the first time. I put in CD1, started installation, then it asked for CD2, I put this one in, everything fine so far. But then it asked again for CD1, but when I put this one in, nothing happened. I waited 10 minutes or so, then took the CD out. The installation program asked for it again, so I put it in again, but nothing happened. 5 minutes later, I aborted installation via the taskmanager.
After that, I had the COD folder on my hdd and also the folder in the registry, but I wasn’t able to start the game. Removing the game also didn’t work, as some files where obviously missing.
So just to be safe and not to mess up my system, I deleted the folder from the hdd and then did a system restore to a point before the installation attempt. Maybe a bit paranoid from me, but I try to keep my system as clean as possible…

In the second try, the installation worked fine.

Has anyone else had this issue? Seems a bit strange to me as I never had such a problem on this machine.

    2. I can only use the resolutions 800x600 and 1024x768. When I try others than these, they are set automatically back. Could this be because my laptop has a widescreen display and COD doesn’t support it somehow? I mean, 1024x768 looks quite good, but my graphics card could handle higher resolutions so it would be great if there was a way to use higher resolutions or even widescreen resolutions like 1440x900.
In COD2 Demo, changing resolutions worked fine for every value I tried.
I’ve installed Patch 1.5, but this doesn’t change anything.

    Thank you for your answers!
