    Hi I`m running COD4 on A200GE-26p C2D 1.66 2GB RAM HD2600

When I setup a server and run around in it I notice that sometimes the screen stutters a bit, like it gets stuck then jumps forward.

Its sort of like I aint got enough RAM and its swapping out to hard drive at these times, could that be what it is I`m running Vista.

I run at 800*600 and when its not jumping like this the framerates are really smooth much better then @ 1280*800

It sounds like that to me but I ain't no ding dang expert on it but common sense seems to tell me that it very well could be that though.

COD4 stutters for me at the beginning of every round for no apparent reason although the HDD activity light is lit up during the stutters.

My system is less powerful than yours.

I play at 1280 x 800 with normal settings and all the nifty extra graphics options off.

    Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83ghz
    Corsair/Patriot 2gb DDR2 PC-5300 667mhz
    ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 256mb (256mb dedicated)
    Samsung 80gb 5,400rpm HDD
    Windows XP Home SP2

Yeah maybe its becuase I`m also hosting a server that it uses more RAM I thought 2GB was enough under Vista, I will try to connect to a server and see if it does it then.

Just played a bit of the single player game and that was fine, like I say it must be becuase I was also hosting a server before and that uses more RAM.
