is it possible to hit the helicopter in the last level?! ive tried like 5 times and its impossible to aim with the RPG! youd think theyd lend u a javelin or something better! >< i just dont like to see my friends die..

and the ending was pretty sad, lol the whole world doesnt know what really happened

btw the short airplane mission was the best, starting out. were going in fast and hard! surely you cant be serious! im serious! and dont call me shirley! xD i really love the small space and the saving the vip and jumping out of the plane. and one of your teammates goes, 'till next time!' xD awesome just awesome.

just finished the game and im kinda late but best ever! hehe had to rant. hope to see guys on this forum in multiplay! :D

It is possible, although it is extremely challenging.
I am actually really surprised with CoD4's open ended-ness in a number of missions, especially "All Ghilled Up", when you just ignore the Captain and go do your own thing ;)

Curious, how did it play on the X1270? Was it smooth?

That reminds me of traumatic experiences in relation to the PSX-based Final Fantasy games....

That's the whole point. A true hero saves the world, and is forgotten. It's the ultimate act of heroism.

    :D

To answer the OP - it's possible to hit the heli with the RPG, though it doesn't go down since it's scripted to blow up the bridge later on.

i did install it on my gateway laptop but i do all my serious gaming on my vostro 1500, never put it on my sig coz its really not my main laptop, my gateway is where all the work is done.

anyways fyi, it does run on the x1270 but barely. max fps would be 25fps. but when everything is going on it goes to probably 10 kinda funny to see it in slow motion. if u really want to play on the x1270 just set everything to low and you can play it average 20-25fps but its playable. still dont really count on igp for gaming.

shame its scripted that the heli will really destroy the bridge. an open ending would be nice. and kinda funny how the US is so gun-ho and doesnt get al asad, brits are awesome! :D what kind of name is soap anyway?

still awesome game. hope they expand it i really would like to see more modern warfare.

I don't own a 1270, so I don't know how I would test it out. I have been playing CoD4 for the past 6 months... you're kinda late to the party.

Yeah best single player i've ever played on a game since original half-life.

Fantastic mix of realism and hollywood style entertainment value.

The gunship moment was just pure genius, seeing so many gulf war youtube moments of apaches hitting tanks and then doing it yourself kinda... fantastic.

Definitly the most insane FPS story ever. But I DON'T think it is possible to take out the helicopter in the final mission, as it is needed to be alive to destroy the bridge for the ending. And Mile High Club on Veteran, oh meh gawd it was a challenge!

EDIT: Guess the helo question was already answered XD

Hey, I just beat the game today. What pure coincidence that I stumble across this thread wondering the exact same thing, if you can kill the freaking helicopter at the end. Well, now I know.

Overall, I thought the story was amazing! Loved the part where you go all stealth when you play as Price 15 years ago.

Yeah, CoD4 was something else, I'm kinda bummed they're going back to WW2 with CoD5.

CoD4 single player was amazing. Hopefully they do something just as good for CoD5. Hopefully a little longer though. Single player felt a little short, but multiplayer made up for it.
