    Hey guys,

I want to reformat this weekend and switch to xp sp3. I have vista right now.
Im worried about losing my cod4 mp profile, I know where it is and I plan on backing it up. Can anyone confirm that this is all I need to do so that I don't lose my profile?
i think my game version is 1.5
    thanks

Yes, all you have to do is copy your "players" folder to a safe location and you will be set. When you reinstall COD4 all you have to due is copy the folder back to where it originally was and overwrite the folder thats there.

    Location of players folder:

    C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players

I've done it myself and it works.
