    Hey Guys,

I just got what I thought was a dank comp, but it is soo choppy playing COD4, even on med-low settings...

I have a Intel T9400 processor(2.53 GHz, 1066fsb, 6mb cache), with 4 Gigs of DDR3 and a Radeon 3650 HD 512 mb video card. I expected to dom but stuff is working differently that I thought... I think it may be a problem with vista home premium 64bit, and lenovo's been mildly helpful. Any suggestions are extreeeemly extreeemly appreciated.

    Ride Strong haha,

    Benjy

One reason may be the programs and default programs the OEM has installed on the Vista that came with your laptop is slowing you down. If that is the case, then I would recommend you to reinstall from a clean Vista disc OR... check out the Vista tips sticky on top of these forums. :)

Another reason may be that your graphic drivers are outdated. Sometimes the OEM drivers aren't all up-to-date.

That is bizzare for sure... you should be able to run it cranked and get high fps... try a clean install of vista, then Update your Graphics drivers....

I dont think 3650 packs much power.
and additionally, its been long since ppl discovered the bad drivers of 3650(desktop), they couldnt even play CS!!

make sure you dont have AA cranked up.

Your configuration (presumably a T500?) should run COD4 at medium to high settings on around WXGA+ resolution quite comfortably. Make sure anti-aliasing is off though.
