so i got cod4 yesterday all for the MP, and i come to find that i cant get online with it timing out, believe me i tried everything, i have a few different ports i tried port forwarding with my router, I also put my computer in DMZ with my router (was told this would rule out the router). I turned off vistas firewall, i increased the time out time from 11 to 60, and i looked all over the forums for answers. So i was like alright nothing is working let me just try uninstalling then reinstalling. So i uninstall then go to reinstall, well now when i load in the disc the menu comes up which when i first put in the cd it had an option, Install. Now I have options as if the game is still loaded onto my computer play singleplayer etc. which they all lead to the menu just closing down and doing nothing (if clicked). Can someone help me with this please, i dont know whats going on, at first i had a game i couldnt play online now i have a game that i cant get on my computer. BTW i have vista 64.

did you uninstall it via add/remove programs?

if you did, open up the dvd (rather than autoplay) and find the setup file........

I had not a single problem with CoD4 in any way, form, or shape it was a very well put together game.

I am unsure what could cause your problem other than ISP issues, network/software issues (any fire walls, antivirus ect?) or something else more desceate.

Make sure you patch the game up to the newest version as you will need it, also manually update punkbuster to the newest version. Lets try to go from there.
