    Curious,

My nc8430 runs at 85-95% on the cpu and 80 degC during this 3D game. Thought?

Mine runs a constant 50 degC. Maybe I need to blow the dust out from the system. Its never been done and this is about a year old

However, I was surprised that the the CPU is run at 90% of the time with this 3D game. Is this common?

Depends on the game. BTW, the program you use to monitor CPU uses it's share of time, more or less, to monitor.

Another poster found a discrepancy among utilities to monitor the CPU temps as Everest disagrees with RM Clock and HWMonitor.

As other suggest carefully clean out fans and maybe elevate back of notebook for better air flow.
