Alpha Stage is done of the demo and beta is not far off. Interesting thing that is stated that a mid range cpu will do but the most important upgrade is the RAM supposedly.

Looks good! I think most people who expect to play this game will have 2GB or ram.
-
Looks real good. The particle rendering on the fires is amazing when comparing DX10 to DX9.

It would be a sign from above if the demo comes out later this month around the time i get my c90. I figure they have to release the demo end of this month or very early next month since the game is going to come out in September. But those in game pics can be described by this:

When it comes out, I'm going to try it on my system just for laughs.
-
Same here, my C90s is preordered from GenTechPC, and as soon as this demo is released I will be downloading it!
I really have my doubts that this game will run smooth with med-high settings at 1024x768, just look at those screens!. I hope I'm wrong, and if I am, I will be doing nothing but playing this game when it comes out

Haha the guy trying to shoot the chopper down sucks!! lol

CryCrack! This is definitely going to make Nvidia and Intel even MORE money, regardless of how well it plays on lower level hardware. People will be throwing money at them just to see how far they can crank the settings up.
I can't wait till someone runs Crysis on a Quad Core Extreme with Quad SLI on a 30" monitor.
This. Rocks. -

The thing is Crysis is encoded very very well. Also it is a game built from the ground up to take advantage of DX10. Interviews with Crytek execs have agreed to the claims that microsoft, ati, and nvidia have done which states that unlike DX9 cards, DX10 cards will more efficiently run DX10 games better then DX9 cards. Maybe this is why nvidia and ati have gone the 128 bus route because this way the sell the cards for alot cheaper while allowing it to take advantage of the DX10 technology, which in turn means less=more. Follow? This is all assuming drivers come out from both companies or laptop manufacturers (or modding community). -
Don't really consider myself a gamer, but those DX10 vid parts looked awesome. Wouldn't mind taking a crack at the game, but none of my systems would even run the DX9 version................
lol

This game cant come out already!!!!
-
why not?
oh and have a look at this

of course its easy, just press the "shootCopter" button on your 101 button joypad! it's right next to the "getBeer&Chips" button, cant miss it
-
Why is everyone under th eimpression it won't run on lower-end systems? The trailers and such they show on MAX settings on hardware the public can't even touch. The Crytek website used to say Crysis would have DX8 support. It doens't say that anymore, but at least their backwards looking. They have said countless times they're really trying to make it run well on a wide range of systems.
Obviously, base don the graphics and physics, these programmers are geniuses. If they can make it this good, they can scale it to make it okay. -
never mind...

The great thing about the demo is it will finally (though the cards are still early drivers) be a test game for DX10 games on the new DX10 cards and will prove if the new 8 mobile series isn't that great or if it great for what it is meant for. It will also prove if Crysis is a kickass game of course.

yeah i mean if dx10 on the crysis demo gives the same result as dx10 so far, it will be a disappointment, but i think it would be fair to keep complaining about drivers at that point, especially if we haven't gotten any new ones yet.
but hopefully we will see some better drivers before then and dx10 will actually prove to be something useful.
CRYSIS Demo not far away!
