Hey for those CS 1.6 fans... anyways, with these widescreen laptops, it seems getting the resolution to best "fit" your display without it either being too tiny to see (i.e. 1680 x 1060) to in your face blocky 640x480. This is for those with 15.4" widescreens...

What resolution seems to work for you in terms of accuracy and stable FPS.

The widescreen option seems very stretched (in the vertical aspect) -

Right now I have a matte screen and though I love it for reading/working... sucks for this games - setting up that digital vibrance is becoming a pain in the xxx.

In all the resolutions, I haven't noticed a drop in FPS (net_graph 3)

My Nvidia Geforce 7600 settings :

    Vsync : OFF
    AA : OFF
    AS : OFF
    Image : Quality
Digital Vibrance : medium (2nd notch)
    Brightness : 103%
    Gamma : 1.12

    In Game setup :

    brightness : 1
    gamma : 3
    resolution : 800x600 , medium crosshair
    CPL mousfix + noforce commands

Alright - thanks for the read and input!

tell your video card options out of game to not run any Vertical sync and it turns it off

i run it in 1200x800.... if the crosshair isnt like perfect the way its stupposed to be it drives me nuts... and i use the small crosshair with cl_dynamiccrosshair 0 and cl_weather 0 and then use ex_interp 0.1 and it runs great for pubs and scrims :D

Sorry for the misunderstanding - the noforce commands I meant were in respect to the actual game where you put it in the Counter-Strike > right click properties > launch options : "-noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd" without the " "'s . They help remove in-game mouse acceleration.

In regards to vsync off, I keep it off as well to boost over the 60fps... too bad laptop screens can't benefit much from changing refresh rates as they are capped to 60/61Hz as compared to external LCD/CRT monitors.

    I've always kept my ex_interp @ 0.01 / cl_updaterate 101 / cl_cmdrate 101 / rate 25000...

Thanks for your feedback though.... anymore from y'all would be great!
