I have a old dell 640m (t5600 dual 1.83ghz/1gb ram/100gb hdd/intel 950 integrated). And im wanting to play some cs 1.6 on it but cant get it working. ive had 1.6 on p3s before so this should run it without any problem. It just sits there on the menu screen and i can see the background off css but no buttons/cursor or anthing like that. i can also hear my mouse hit the buttons when i move my cursor over them.
Im running windows 7 64bit.
I think it might have something to do with how bios is only assigning 8mb of vram to the intel igp although i heard it was dynamic and would assingn more when i game.
Cheers
oh and ive tried a "non legit" version of cs 1.6 and it doesnt load either.

What resolution? Something it bugs and screws around with the resolution. I've had it where I'm staring at the upper right portion of the startup screen and the select button are invisible off to the left.

make sure all your drivers are updated. I'm pretty sure your hardware can handle 1.6
