    Hello guys,

Currently I am using a microphone that is built into my laptop (Specs are in my sig) however for some strange reason, when I open up CS:S (Counter Strike: Source) and go to:

    Options>Voice>Test Microphone
I get an annoying ringing like a really high pitched sound. However when I go to desktop and do a voice test via Sound Recorder, everything works fine. It only happens when I test the microphone in CS:S. Any ideas?

Use headphones and it should go away.

I think the ringing is what happens when the sound from the speakers goes to the microphone, then that goes to the speakers and that goes to the mic and it makes the ringing noise.
