I'm just wondering if anyone has any screenshots of Counter Strike Source that is at 800 x 600 on low/medium settings.
I'm basically trying to picture what the game would look like if I got this computer:
1GB RAM
Pentium M 1.86Ghz
128MB Mobility X300

Ok... here is one on low and one on high.... Its definatly playable.... especially on medium and I think the X300 can handel medium no problem... perhaps on a higher resolution too... On low the graphics are about the same but maybe a little bit better than Counter-strike 1.6. On high there noticabbly different.
EDIT: The one on the left is low, and the one on the right is medium.Attached Files:

Thanks a lot man, I appreciate it

the x300 should be able to handle medium settings at a higher resolution than 800x600 no problem.

those screenshots suck! where are the wall textures? what map is that??!?! -
its Iceworld. Its a really small map where the weapons are laying out in front of you. I like it

My friend brought his 6000 over (1.73 Ghz Pentium M, 1GB RAM, 128MB X300) and we played the Half Life 2 demo with all settings on high and HDR enabled. I don't remember the resolution, but it was something widescreen.
Does that mean we can play CS:S on those same settings? -
Im sorry if you think they "suck", but I did it in like 5 minutes. The map is iceworld its a very small nice map. I personally don't go staring at walls and looking at the textures. Besides the textures arn't good in any resoluction... if you go up and stare at a wall you can see the pixels. I took a screenshot of a guy shooting at me... I think you can tell that the right resolution is higher. The quality of the models and the guy shooting at me looks sharper. And yes... the X300 should be able to play CSS on medium on 800 x 600 no problem. You could even go up to higher resolution, and experiment with that FPS ex...

Are you talking about lost coast? I would think if an x300 can handle that on high (which i still have a hard time believing), then cs:s would be no problem.

I 100% agree with that... Don't want to start a flamewar, but Enemy Territory with TeamSpeak owns CounterStrike anyday... And ET is free.
800x600 screenshots of ET:
