The game works fine, but when I play I can hardly see my health, etc. Anyone know how to make it more visible/darker?

That's normal. The yellow/orange text tends to get washed out.

You could mess with your Gamma Settings, turning them down might help. Also, if you HDR activated it can make it really hard to see on maps like Dust or Dust 2. I think you can manually alter interface settings, can't you? In the same area you mess with the crosshair?

I "think" there is a console command for the color of the UI but I know that there are programs/addon type things that can reskin them to something else to make them easier to see.

For me it's hard to see on Dust and Dust 2 but otherwise its fine... Don't kow how to change the colour though, you might want to set your gamma a tad lower

get a new HUD. fpsbanana.com is a good source for it. I had to do it also. There is nothing else you can do.
