Wondering if anyone has Source running in Vista x64 on a Vostro 1500?

    Are you running Steam x64?
Do you notice any drop in performance?
    What specs are you running?
    Drivers?
    OC'd?
    CS:S Video Settings?
    Any tweaks?

    Thanks a million nice times

I'm play CS:S on Vista Ultimate 64bit edition.

I am not running a special version of steam - I just downloaded it from the website and it works.

I can't tell you if I get performance drops because I have nothing to compare it to - but everything is running nice. I get 70-100FPS with my settings. I have my card OCed to 550 / 777

    See my specs in signature.

    Latest ForceWare drivers.

Curious, I have my AF at 8x & my AA off. You have a better hard drive, & slightly better processor than I do, twice the RAM, and OC'd a bit higher (of course I need to load it up in Vista to really compare)...

When I turn AA on (even 2x), it takes a noticeable hit to my system. Do you know which of your "better" specs allow you to run it at 4x & 16x? (Is AA/AF tied more to processor speeds, GPU clock speeds, RAM, HD speeds [probably not]?)

    Thanks

I'm not 100% sure but I'd take a guess by saying the GPU...I have the DDR3 version of the 8600MGT

Let's all hope Valve brings back the 64 bit version of HL2 and CS:S. It was wonderful...
