so the next instalment of the call of duty franchise has been anounced.

Blackops release date 11.9.10 Clikety Click (no info as of yet)

we will just have to wait and see if theres dedicated servers this time

that's the Vietnam War game right? why not just call it COD: Vietnam? what does BlackOps have anything to do with Vietnam?

I guess the people who make CoD games wanted it to sound awesome. Which it doesn't

 

Nam will be real coool. I hope they go with dedicated servers this time but my gut feeling says they won't.

anyhow Im sure Viet-Kong Zombies will be cool, but I can't help but be a little skeptical about the COD series moving foward after the whole Infinity Ward situation

If that's true that will be awesome, i was 2 minutes away from the iranian embassy when the SAS wrecked havoc on it.

The SAS do NOT mess about, one of the best special forces team in the world.

Makes me so proud to be British.

There is a game about it, The Regiment, if u can remember maybe... 5yrs ago or so... Such a good game, fast placed action but with some tactical stuff in it

 

well it was late and it was the first one i found. and it also mentioned it had dedicated servers so i thought is was worth posting.we will just have to wait and see.

Next Call of Duty game revealed - Plugged In - Yahoo! Games

Looks like Cuba and Vietnam from those short clips to me. Looks as if the leaked info was almost all correct, hoping the info was also correct about the dedi servers.

 

from the looks of it , looks like this game is going to come out.. even after the infinity ward saga... looks like activision has back up....hoepfully this isn't as crap as world at war.

 

World at war is actually my most favorite in the series. Not sure what's to hate about it. Have you ever played CoD3, that was an abomination. I think that this game looks really good, but I can't help but notice a lot of connections with MGS, since I don't have access to a PS3, I guess I am happy

 

^^^MP40 round drum + Juggernaut= Yikes. Hopefully BlackOps will be a refreshing change from MW2

 

Really? I found the low level SMG's an awful choice for that game. I stuck to the MP44, PPSH42, Semi Auto Rifles, Sniper. Bolt action guns would have been useful if they actually killed when they were supposed too

 

I like all the COD's (never tried COD3). Only gripe I have over WaW is that it seems to tax my laptop more than any others. Really heats up and I need to keep the graphics quite low.

If they do use dedicated server's this could be a really great game.

 

You guys are already making assumptions and guesses when you don't know what lies ahead.

I'm just going to sit back and wait for official news about this.

i hate zombies.. i don't like that mod...this better be better than MW2...

 

Bah. Ill wait for the talented guys to release something instead of giving my money to the second fiddles.

IW has always done a good job making each call of duty title bring something new to the table. All trey titles look and feel like the last title IW made.... but with upped graphics.
