Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare

is there any place that is carryign this game today? i know the "shipping date" on gamestop is today so i was wondering if any stores are carrying it yet. im just curious because i heard someone i know already got the game today and is playing it ;\ also are there any deals going on this game? as far as i know circuit city isn't doing the reduced price of 39.99 (even though xbox owners get this game with cod3 free)...

Yeah me too there were so many dates floating around. 5th, 6th and 7th. I would have prefereed the earlier the better so I can write up the review faster. Have a test on friday.

Ah well I got the worst out of the way. My calc 3 exam today wwent great. My exam on friday is philosophy and its not tough as long as you do the reading. Sadly I haven't done any of it so its gonna be alot of mind numbing reading.

Yeah! It looks so good! I liked Calc 3 when I took it last year...I'll never use it again except for my current job (I tutor development math thru calc 4 at my college) Gotta love calc 3 though I hate sequences and series!

Hopefully you'll take your time though, I wouldn't want rushed out reviews from people who didn't take the time to actually have fun while playing the game, like IGN . But I expect more cuz your a good reviewer!

Just a heads up. CoD4 will be up for pre-installing on Steam and will be immediately playable on the November 12. lol If you can wait for that long.

 

BTW, can you buy&download the game? Or do you have to buy it retail versioN?

this game just blows me away. graphics/realism/environments... unbeatable. can't believe im actually playing this game, its just too damn good

IGN has nothing on me. Actually think I will be done with the review tonight. Its the pictures that are the biggest pain in the ass. Uploading then linking.

 

So, is it true single player is only 5-6 hours? That's a bummer.

I like multiplayer, but love a quality single player campaign. Guess I'll have to wait until it's $30 or less if it is truly a short single player game.

 

I'll respond to the second part in my review. Don't want to spoil it.

Nope the people who have beaten it are playing on regular which is rather easy. On regulay you can run and gun.

On hardened the game is a toughie (especially on the later levels). It requires more patience and strategy and skill. Its more realistic because enemies are smarter and fire better and in general much harder. Its still rather easy in the earlier levels and some parts of the latter levels but some parts were very very frustrating, because they were very hard and honestly some of it was crap your pants scary at how many soldiers were coming at you or what you have to deal with. 2 guys vs 30-40 enemies and dogs with little cover for example (oh yeah it happens). Can't wait to try the game on veteran. It took me about a bit over 8 hours to beat.

My friend let me play it on his DS lol and it was interesting,,,Not too bad but it could have been a bit better. I'll just stick with the PC version!

 

Picked my copy earlier from Circuit City. I couldn't get the free CoD3 because they ran out early in the morning. So far the game is impressive. Exactly what I had expected.

 

It's in stores in my town tomorrow.

Well... I enjoyed knifing the veteran bots in the Demo...Can't wait for MP. The real fun begins there.

Can't wait!!! Picked up my copy at EB games just now. Loving the multiplayer of it.

 

in my game, the grass appears REALLY black, and so do the trees. sometimes, the character models appear to be shaded completely black as well. (see screenshot below - look at the grass in the background)

ive played through some of the Russian levels, and im pretty sure the grass isn't supposed to be pitch black.

ive tried the 163.71 drivers and the 163.75 drivers, neither seemed to fix it.
any ideas?

my gfx card is NOT overclocked btw.

 

Nice graphics and everything except for the black and white shaders on the AI.

 

whats the command to show fps with in game calculator?
