I made another topic about this is the network forum, but no one there could give me any advice, so ill post it here as well to see if any of you gamers could help me out. I bought a new laptop, and ever since then im getting horrible lag in all the games i play. I took a screen shot in Call of Duty 4 ( http://screenshot.xfire.com/screenshot/natural/d20b77029ef965efa332e3f0e8e8560a9989318b.png )

In the main CoD4 server list it said i would be getting about 54 ping there. I was up past 400. This happens on all the servers i go on, wether its just me int he server or a bunch of people. The lag is so bad it makes it so i cant even play =[

I tried playing on my internet (wireless) and my neighbors wireless, same thing happened. It even happened when i plugged into my router via ethernet. If anyone can help me i would be soooo happy.
My Xfire is Campe991 if you want to talk me through some steps to fix this.

Do you get high ping in every game, or just CoD4?

You say you bought a new laptop; do you lag on your previous computer or just the laptop?

well until i get my internet on i just use a hotspot not too far away, so i bought a small dish antenna. but i think it would be better to buy an express card if you have your own network.
