I haven't been on the forums for a few weeks now, so excuse me if this has already been discussed.

Whenever I play CoD4, I have some pretty annoying stuttering problems when sprinting in an outside environment. I have the settings on high/extra on 1680x1050 and it plays well, it's only when I start sprinting that it acts up.

And yes I've applied the latest patch. The only thing I can think of that could possibly cause it is that I'm running off of a cracked executable file. But then again I do that for a fair bit of my games so I don't need to continuously change discs.

Well, in large open areas your frame rates do drop a bit on the highest settings at that resolution, and sprinting = fast movement = makes the lower FPS more noticable. However, if you're talking about major stuttering, then I don't know what to say, but I do notice a very, very, slight stutter on occasions while sprinting. Maybe your drivers are in need of an update?

I too have very slight stuttering in general, maybe its because of a problem with the 8 series graphics cards?

Sentient_6, are you able to play online without any problems with the crack, because i remember bf2 wouldn't allow you to use a crack to play online. Also try updating your video card drivers.

I haven't tried playing online at all, I'm more of a single player kind of guy.

I have the demo, and it runs flawlessly on my 8500GT 256MB and 2GB of RAM (1284x1024 and high quality)

XP, but I haven't updated the drivers in a while so I forgot the number, but they were the latest ones before the beta.

Also my XP is tweaked for max speed, so that might help as well (it takes up about 100MB of RAM)
