YAY FOR DOTA 1V1s -
Yea price is whats putting me off as well at the moment. 40GBP after the mw2 fiasco, gotta be patient this time
-
i... can't.. wait...... been playing mw2 on the ps3 and i just can't stand using console controllers.. at one point i was even thinking of buying mw2 for the pc .. thank god this is coming out! i can finally switch over without feeling ripped off!

-
i'm ready for black ops scrims!
-
Got it pre-ordered from GameStop as opposed to Steam (love the feeling of the physical product in my hands).
Here's to hoping the actual campaign part lasts more than 4-5 hours..... -
-
Anyways, it's likely Australia that has the price, as Aussies are always complaining on Steam for jacked prices, even though it's the publishers who set them. -
-
so is this only available for pre load in america as theres only pre order to unlock on release day here in the uk.
-
Black Ops on steam allowed me to preload and I'm in the UK
-
I really hate the 60 bucks price tag and it suck for those in the land down under. I have a 20 dollar off coupon from buying starcraft 2 at kmart so I'm probably going to buy it from there and the game uses steamworks anyways so ill always have it in my account and dont have to wait for it to download so many gb's.

-
Pre-Loading now. Thanks!
-
This will be my first big PC title since I purchased my gaming notebook (which I'm still waiting on). Can't wait!

Playing John F. Kennedy on the new Zombie mode is gonna be fun. Good to know you can pre-load already.
-
How could games be so expensive for you guys over there, especially when its digital!
-
yeap it hurts, hurts real bad, i don't really buy my games from steam unless im over in America or its a great deal, not only steep prices fro games but also data cap for internet means steam isn't user friendly for me over here.
-
ooh pre load.. Which to go for... Black Ops for Football manager 2011... and if any of you aussie steam players wants to buy a steam game for the price in US, if you guys feel comfortable you can make the payment to me to and i'll gift you the game. I have done this before so.... just saying since i think its unfair for you guys over there..
One thing i don't get is why can't we just play it once we pre-load itP

Check it out some in depth of multiplayer:

One question:
Will there be an RPD?
I pwnt faces with that gun.
If it's in the game, you guys should probably not buy it cause all that's going to happen is you getting **** in the *** by ME.
I will see you all on the battlefield
Edit: Also, IMO, FPS are THE BACKBONE of the gaming industry. Hands down. What titles have sold the most copies? Point proved. What are you're opinions? What would gaming be like without the COD franchise and other shooters? -
-
another thing i forgot to ask. if i buy the disks is the game still going to run through steam as cod mw2 does. if it does i might as well just get it from steam and save all the hassle of waiting for the disk to be delivered and making sure someone is home to accept it. -
Again, you can't really blame me for not knowing that.
How do games even sell there?Between those prices and the super-strict censoring some games get for no real reason (*coughl4d2cough*), I don't know if I could ever bring myself to buy a game if I lived there. Hell, I can't even afford to spend $60 on a game. Otherwise I'd actually consider getting this...
-
Is this even worth your penny?
-
If you're a fan of the series then sure, because you'll likely play the multiplayer for months on end.
Personally I don't think it is compared to BFBC2 which is imo a better multiplayer game and gives you free map packs instead of charging you $15. -
>Implying that BC2 isn't one of the buggiest games ever released
I pre-ordered Black Ops and finished pre-loading yesterday. Is anyone else going to play through the campaign first before going online, or will you just jump straight into multiplayer? -
Doing the campaign and will not touch the multiplayer for a loooong time
-
trying to decide if i should buy this. looks fun and all, but it's a lot of money, and it better be worth it or I am not getting it. waiting to see your reviews. plus i don't get paid for a week and a half anyway.
-
-
I refuse to spend $60 on any FPS game ever again. If the single player campaign seems fun, I may pick it up when it drops to $30. Tired of the same old formula especially for $60. The multiplayer doesn't look too compelling to me.
-
Ya I am not giving any more money to Activision, if I was to ever cave I would buy it for the PS3, and not the PC, given the recent treatment of the PC Community as a whole.
-
That said lets move on to the topic, this game is a waste of time. I wont hate on Activision in Particular and Im a huge lover of MW1 and 2, but the only good games imo are the ones that infinity ward put out, not treyarch, part of this bias is the shoddy COD3 PS3 got, seriously no stat tracking or in game mic. Now I know lots are saying only ps3 version but even WaW was crud, utter stupidity. Just saying though, maybe with this one they will stick to the layout infinity ward has laid down and copy paste it..... -

I dunno about a better layout, but Treyarch certainly seemed to try and do more than just copy and pasting Infinity Ward's game and switching the models. Maybe this time around there will be some actual reason to play the game. WOrld at War sucked hard, which is why I am probably gonna wait before Black Ops is released.

The prices for COD MW2 are still up like around $30 so is the MOH 2010.
The COD WAW prices dropped really fast. So, do you guys think it will happen same with Black Ops? Because I dont want to buy it early for $59 and sell it for $30 or less within a month like MohH. -
Does anyone think there's a chance of this game getting a nice sale price on Steam around Christmas? That's pretty much the only way I'll get it. Did MW2 got on sale last year?
-
-
-
It depends on how the game is embraced. Black Ops "looks" to be a solid game but we won't know until a few weeks after the release, that's really the best time to know if a discount is coming or not. Of course with Christmas coming and retail sales expected to be low in 2010, I'd wager the price drops versus not dropping.
Really who cares, we're talking $20... if you're scrounging for 20 bux consider not buying video games and investing in yourself. -

heh £40 here
I should be nice and pick one random lucky NBR member to gift it to
